Street Fighting Man - Spanish promo

by Roberto Caballe

Virgin Spain (Espana) thought that the new release promo as CD single to support the successfull Stripped album would be Street Fighting Man - A different opinion to the rest of the world, where Wild Horses appears to promote on the radio stations.

At first the Stones didn't accept this, but after some conversations between the Rolling Stones office and Virgin Espana everything is "All Right Now". The main reason was that "Street Fighting Man" has never been a hit in Spain, because during the days of 1968 in Spain there was tight censorship.

A lot of radio stations have never played the song. This single only reached the top twenty. On the other hand "Wild Horses" never came out as a single, but it is the best known track besides Angie. included in the Stripped album in this area.

Kiss Unplugged album features a cover version of the song 2000 Man.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band's new album Soft Vengeance has got a cover version of the Stones song Play With Fire, and the song is credit to "Jagger, Richards, Jones, Watts, Wyman (!).
