The Mick Jagger photo session + more...

It is Tuesday October 17, 1995, and the place is Metro Studios, London, England. Mick Jagger is doing a photo session. Once the actual shooting of the photos is on, Mick will be concentrated, working hard as a professional artist.

But right now, the photographer Justin Thomas is catching some unique moments, without Mick actually knowing. The camera is preserving those rare and unique situations when Mick is totally relaxed, joking, having fun.

Mick is having his make-up done. The film is rolling. Mick is doing some jokes. More film rolling. For you, on the next page, you will find a couple of those great session takes, Mick on his own. Some day the real session photos will show up. Then you can tell the difference, and for a while, you can pretend you were there. Well, almost...

And below, on this page, you will find another unique moment. The Place is De Kuip, a.k.a Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam, Holland, and the date is August 30, 1995. The time is 22 minutes past 11 in the evening, and the closing chords of Juming Jack Flash has just finished the final concert of the Voodoo Lounge tour.

Mick, Keith and Charlie is meeting up in front of the stage, having just taken the final bow with the rest of the band. Ronnie Wood is rushing back, grabbing Darryl, bringing him forward, to make the final bow with Mick, Charlie, Keith and himself for the first time during the tour.

Charlie looks surprised, as if he just noticed his rhythm mate is next to Ronnie in the final bow. Thanks to long time hard core fan Peter Zehner, Germany, for shooting this photo, and for sharing it with all of us!
