QuoteNashvilleBlues Do they ever play VR's Fall to Pieces? That is an iconic Slash song. Sadly they don't. The only non Axl song they've done thats not a cover is Slither.

Quoteslewan I think one of the main reasons GnR don't play Slash' solo stuff is that he tours regularly with Miles Kennedy where he plays his solo stuff and no GnR stuff (except for maybe one song). In contrast Axl Rose has no other band. Fair, although I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Axl sees Chinese as a legit GNR album, and he wrote those songs. Many Guns fans are

QuoteBig Al QuoteDandelionPowderman Fun project, but a mediocre song, imo. Good to hear Lennon's voice, though. Paul should have skipped the backing vocals. Yes, I'm in agreement, unfortunately. I had a listen to Lennon's original demo, and that feels more interesting. This new reimagining of Lennon's song, feels like a bit of a dirge. Very downbeat. They needed something

QuoteHardRiffin Quoteslewan Yesterdays GNR have debuted a new/unreleased song called "The General", (starts at 26:45) Another poor song As a massive Guns fan, the entire reunion has been iffy. Listen, its great that it happened, I truly had given up hope that it would. Having said that: -sad that it doesn't include Izzy, Matt or Steven. I really thought Slash would never

QuoteStonedRambler Quotebobo A Bigger Bang is nowhere close to the new album. But then again, many on this forum seems to live in the past, mostly three to five decades backwards. Thankfully Rolling Stones adapts and evolve as time goes by. Someone had to say it. I understand being open to things, but also on the flip side there are people who are just complete sycophants of older bands with

To me its unquestionably A Bigger Bang. Hackney sounds like a band trying to be "hip", and more accurately "Mick Jagger trying to be hip". Doesn't feel like a Stones album to me at all, it feels like a desperate attempt to grab the "it" producer of the day and have some new music just to have it. Whereas, truly, I felt like they were going for something with A B

Rescued and Under You I thought were good songs on the new Foo Fighters record. It was steep drop from there, though HER I guess made The Glass not as bad on SNL. Rescued seemed like it might be a decent record, and ultimately being about as forgettable as the last decade of releases from them.

Its so so great that they all seem to be on good terms these days. Maybe its just for TV, but at this point I certainly don't need a reunion tour. I'm happy this band can close their history by just all being civil with each other. I can't believe they've agreed to do so much press together. They did like 10 different events.

I think thats being far too generous to Brian, but hey I'm as happy as anyone to see him up there with them. While I think Axl did a better job, they're 50 years into a career. Give me Brian cause we can't have Bon or no one. I do think they should probably just retire at this point, but I get that its tricky because Angus can so still go on and hasn't lost a step. The rest ar

QuoteHardRiffin to say that it is not a good album or that it is disappointing seems absurd to me. Free to say so...but absurd. The same way those saying its brilliant, legendary and untouchable are absurd but we all have opinions.

Angry - dumb song, bad single Get Close - could be a solo Mick Jagger track and no one would care about it then. Nothing much of note about it. Depending On You - good track. Again, its a Mick Jagger solo song, in the same way Streets Of Love and Following The River are, but I like those and I like this one too. Bite My Head Off - the de facto best song on the album. Excellent vocals fro

Album, as expected, is fine. Not bad, not fantastic, it just kinda is. Some really good songs, a lot of forgettable ones we'd only give the time of day because they are who they are and its been so long since an album has come out. Listen, I'm glad they're still making music, but it'll most likely join every album since Tattoo You where I can't imagine listening to it aft

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax Fair enough - my knowledge of Howard Stern is just about zero so I came to him fairly cold! Still moved me though! Which is how he wants it these days! But seriously, I enjoyed the interview too and I'm nitpicking when there's probably no reason to be. Sincerely glad people enjoyed and were moved by some of it. In the end, I'm still really happy we have Ke

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax It's around 1 hr 23 in, when Howard starts talking about how Let It Loose always makes him cry, and then he opens up a little about his childhood and how important that song and the Stones were to him. “When I hear this I cry," he says. "I’m not @#$%& with you. I want to say this to you without breaking down. I didn’t love my childhood. But this song,

So Mick got a shortened interview a couple years ago and now Keith's was prerecorded. Boy, the Stones really do not trust 2020 Howard Stern, who is the safest interview you could do these days.

QuoteTaylor1 How was Stevie Wonder in1972 and Van Morrison in 2006.They are two of my favorite artists. Did Van do an encore with Mick?Is there any video of Stevie or Van I believe Stevie used to guest with the Stones at the end of their set in addition to his opening set. Looks like Van Morrison just did a long opening set, didn't guest with the Stones:

Really talented artist. Its nice that Running Up That Hill in Stranger Things has brought her back into the social consciousness, though I also think its a little sad that seemingly no one has used that as a springboard to listen to other stuff in her catalogue. She's way more than just that one song, but that exposure was enough to get her inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this y

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Let's not forget Kanye West as well! Such a bizarre pairing that one was. I saw that, and the fact that 2 nights prior got Alice Cooper it really felt like a slap in the face. I remember being surprised fake Guns N Roses were supposed to open for the Stones as well on that Bigger Bang tour till Keith took a tumble out of that tree.

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 Sounds like there were a lot of unhappy fans last night: Looks like he tightened it up a bit tonight: Roger started the show reading only one chapter from his upcoming autobiography (contrary to the 3 chapters of the previous night). The film segment was played during the intermission this time. Roger left the theatre with Nick Mason and Tony Smith.

How Angus still does it I'll never know. When I saw them in 2016, I marveled at how he was the ONLY one who was up there for 2 and a half hours and didn't stop moving. He appears to not have lost a step. The stage must give him right and as much as Angus is properly rated in the history of rock, his youthful energy at almost 70 is truly inspiring and not talked about enough.

Its absolutely horrible, and unlistenable crap to me. Almost makes you question what you like about the original till you put on the original and realize "right, Wright, Gilmour and Mason are excellent on the original." Its an interesting experiment because, more than any album in their catalogue to me, it was the amalgamation of these 4 guys. The other albums all lean more one way or t

Could end up being akin to the Robert Plant interview where he was like "who the @#$%& is this guy?" laughing at Howard asking if Jimmy Page was the real great love of Robert's life. I could see Keith finding it all laughable, which would be equally as entertaining as if he submitted.
