QuoteGazza QuoteRollingFreak The new tour film will also be available on Disney+ in like 3 weeks as well, which is what convinced me. Its beyond stunning. I rented it on amazon for two days to see what the fuss was all about. Ended up watching all 3 hours of it from start to finish three times Its ridiculously, jaw droppingly great. One of the best concert movies I've ever seen by an

Loved his comedy and him on Curb. Kinda looked sickly on this most recent episode so this isn't totally surprising but still sad. I sad him in the last decade and he was fantastic on stage.

QuoteElmo Lewis I gotta add that the album with Jimmy Page is the best Zep live product. While I think its very good, I don't necessarily think thats true. To me, nothing tops How The West Was Won. That is Zep at their peak. Its actually a little before their peak, before they really indulged in it a little too much. That recording is just so in your face awesome. Having said that, the Cr

Quoteskytrench I think Taylor is somewhat guilty of that on the Wembley solos, I prefer the slower paced YCAGWYW solo (infusing his Winter parts) or the more 'to the point' solos of Tumbling Dice from Bruxelles. Yeah, to me the YCAGWYW solo is peak Taylor. Could listen to that playing all day.

She's touring Australia now playing to packed stadiums night after night, she has 8 albums in the Australian Top 10 albums ch

QuoteTopi QuoteDGA35 I think everyone needs to realize that these guys, and all classic rock bands, are in their 70s or even 80s now. Phil will be 70 in a few months, perhaps he's at the stage where he can't do a major tour anymore due to his health? Exactly this. Steve Morse of Deep Purple quit touring both because he felt the tours were too long and because his wife was sick

Very sad to hear. Granted, he hasn't been the same in forever. He was arguably only "sane" for like a 10 year period before he really went off. But he's always stuck around, and he was my first favorite artist ever so I always have a special place for him. I saw him twice: once doing Smile at Carnegie Hall and once doing Pet Sounds at the Greek Theater. Both truly otherworldly

Funny you mention this song. This is my all time personal favorite Beach Boys song. Fun, meaningless and rocking. Always loved any incarnation, but the Beach Boys In Concert version is the holy grail for me. Can't tell you how many times I've played that. Just one of those songs that I personally love and always feel I'm the only one (and am damn proud of it). Makes me original.

Great album. Every song is fantastic. All The Way From Memphis is a classic for the ages, Whizz Kid and Hanloochie Boogie are fun little tunes. Violence is great, particularly live, as is Drivin Sister. Hymn For The Dudes and Ballad of Mott The Hoople, are great detours with the latter being a fun walk through their history. I'm A Cadillac is a nice Mick Ralphs rocker and I Wish I Was Your M

Really interesting. I know he guested w

Quoteyorkshirestone Also ticket price moan - 160 quid including fees for a ticket in Manchester. That’s EVERY SEAT at that price. I could stomach that price for standing or a decent seat but will be very displeased if the 10c lottery puts me anywhere else at that price Thats always been the case with Pearl Jam. Every seat is the same price regardless of where you sit. Some find it unfair, though

Quotecrholmstrom Anyone look at Springsteen's schedule? I ask because I wonder if Nils Lofgren or Micah Nelson is playing second guitar. Maybe both? I just got tickets for Micah in Seattle on April 4. Bruce is in Europe for most of Neil's tour so I'm assuming no Nils, sadly. Bruce tour dates May 5, 2024 Cardiff Wales Principality Stadium — — May 9, 2024 Belfast Northern Irel

Quotemighty stork Lots of great 60's and 70's Rock & Roll bands still not in there that deserve to be before some of these and some already in. Why is the RRHF in such a hurry to get bands from the 90's and beyond in so soon? Cause they're giving the RRHOF a "hip slant".

I think its 6 that they choose. To me the obvious choices are: 1. Ozzy Osbourne - insane he's not in there solo. Excellent solo career, as dumb as how they didn't have Lou Reed in on his own till he died. 2. Oasis - like em or hate em, one of the few bands in the last 30 years people remember. That should count for something. Still a big influence and made a big impact even though I

QuoteDGA35 QuoteVoodooLounge13 There are many bands with just a couple original members still - The Stones, The Who, AC/DC previously, hell even Metallica only has two original members!!! The difference is some of these bands have been carrying on with the same replacements for decades now. So long so that it’s become almost acceptable. This new incarnation of AC/DC is above and beyond that. It’

Quotefrankotero Jeez, do you people realize there's only 2 original Stones left in the line up. For crying out loud it's 50-60 years on, what do you expect? I mean, up until 3 years ago there was Charlie, and Ronnie is as much a classic member as anyone. So pre-pandemic there were still 4 stones left, and then I saw them a decade ago with a 5th stone with Mick Taylor. So to have what

Quotefrenki09 Now everyone wants to see The Kinks, but in the 90s no one cared for them. Still, they carried on. Life's not fair. They never stopped. I think that was their problem. They had good stuff in the 80s but it was few and far between and just when you're around that long people think (and you are) old news. Go away and people want you again. Look at someone like the Eagles. T

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax I loved The Wall when it came out, I was about 15 - side 1 and 2 especially. Sides 3 and 4 felt a bit indulgent, even then. I started to dislike it after the movie came out - all that bombast. Like Tommy, I need to pretend the album exists with the movie, cause both movie's ruin the album for me. I'd say The Wall is perfect up until One Of My Turns. I enjoy th

QuoteKurt Where is he? When was the last time anyone saw him play out in public? Romancing the stone here in this thread lately does not seem too realistic... He just turned 75. Realistically what's he really gonna do? He usually used to play clubs, why would he want to do that at this age?
