Anyone think (You Will) Set The World On Fire sounds EXACTLY like the intro of Jack White's single off his new album Sixteen Saltines? I mean, I know there's alot of similarities in music, but this is nearly identical.

I agree at the bottom line, David Bowie is back and thats epic. Nearly 10 long years and one of the greatest people in music ever. Its hard for anyone to dispute that even if you aren't a fan. Also, I'm pretty upset at what Visconti cited as "rocking". The songs are upbeat, and in terms of Where Are We Now they are rocking, but I feel like he definitely chose his words carefully there. When I think rocking Bowie, I think Cracked Actor or Rebel Rebel. This stuff is weird and upbeat, but not what I would consider "rocking." Just my opinion, and I'm not mad a

Quotegotdablouse All that good press sounds a bit too good to be true...a mixture of happiness to see him back and hyping?...Will give it a listen in iTunes though. I agree. Personally, Bowie is one of the few people I'd give a pass to wanting it to be good no matter what. If for some reason I hated it, but the press loved it, I'd be happy for him because of the 10 year wait I just want

Quotethunderball iTunes are streaming the album now. For a limited time, but doesn't say how long. It sounds amazing! The article I read said it'll be till the album is released until March 12, which is when the album is released. Regardless, I am going to go through that thing like a monster tomorrow!

I @#$%& love the Apple Jam from All Things Must Pass. I can see back then it just being filler, but listening to it now thats a hell of some amazing musicians in the same studio playing some great material.

The ones I knew were the last 5, minus the Stones one. They use a take in the video of Jimi saying Kiss This Guy. Never saw that he ever acknowledged the lyric mistake. Again though, I never heard or even though thats what he was saying till someone pointed it out to me after I had been hearing the song for 10 years. I've heard Paranoid millions of times, and just never heard those lyrics

The video was completely stupid. Most of those just seem like whoever made the video decided to make them up. There are actually songs that have lyrics that are misheard: -Stuff like Blinded By The Light: "revved up like a douche" -Elton John, Tiny Dancer: "hold me closer Tony Danza" (which is more funny than anything, but fits well in the lyrical spot) -Jimi Hendrix,

Anyone hear a similarity between The Stars (Are Out Tonight) and Afraid? Just came on shuffle one after another and didn't realize they both sound very similar to me. In a good way!

Quoterunaway "Bowie" (Sandeman & Mennomail Mix) A Tribute to David Bowie in sound and vision. Two David Bowie fans from Amsterdam made this cool video/mix; Wow, I thought that video was awesome! Thank you so much for posting. If you weren't already excited for Bowie's return, this will do it for ya. And if it doesn't, something's wrong! LOL

I was a tad afraid this is one of the rockers Tony mentioned. There are only 5 according to him, and when I thought rock, I thought really rock. This seems more... I don't know how to describe it. Harder than pop, but not really "rock". Hoping the other 4 he mentioned are more rocking, although The Stars is growing on me. Just not as a "rock" track. You've sai

QuoteJumpingKentFlash Like the video. It's awesome. The song sounds a bit too much like something from the last two albums. It's not bad at all, but my expectations dipped a bit hearing this one. I do sort of agree. I mean, I guess thats what he sounds like now, but from the descriptions it sounded like it might be different than his last two. Not bad if it isn't, but if it all sou

Haha Oh Bowie! Excellent video. I'm sorry, but he's gotta come back after seeing this video. Clearly he's into it by doing a normal video like this.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity QuoteRollingFreak Boy, no one cared about this thread I guess. Nobody wants to admit they watch... LOL. Well to be fair, the show is doing its hardest to save all the big awards for the end, so even though the show's been decent so far IMO, I understand switching the channel after a bit. Literally the only big ones they've done are Best Supporting Actor and Ac

QuoteElmo Lewis J. Geils was off the scene for a LONG time. But while they were famous and actively putting out music, they toured as normal. There's is a hiatus, not unlike many other bands/reunions have done. It would be like if the break The Stones took in the 80s extended 15-20 years.

QuoteFrom4tilLate Page flew Steve Gorman to the London show 6 years ago, and has kept in touch with him. He mentioned to Steve how he was pissed off that Jason was having "Jason Bonham - Led Zeppelin" drumsticks printed up. If anyone besides Jason got the gig, it would be Steve, provided the Crowes don't conflict. That could be true, but I'm telling you Dave Grohl is close wit

Quoteshawnriffhard1 I'd like to throw my opinion's hat into the ring on this one. I like Alice's recent material (Eyes and Diamonds), can find very good moments in the middle years (Goes to Hell, From the Inside), but LOVE the early albums with the original band. I've got Love it it Death blaring right now and a thought just occurred to me: I really enjoy the MC5 (saw the

Someone said The Answer. I said them open AC/DC in 08 or so and they were very good. They had a solid first album. I have their other two since then and I don't think they've been as great. They seemed to have promise opening for AC/DC. I kind of haven't heard of them since, but they have that cool Zeppelin sound that is harder to find these days. Foxy Shazam are outstanding, es

Quote24FPS He's definitely not Hall of Fame material. Of course some of the ones already in there aren't. Jethro Tull, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Moody Blues for god's sake, these are groups that need to be in the Hall of Fame that have been ignored. Alice was a minor player that didn't really influence anyone. We already had men dressing like women. We already had hard rock.
