Keith is playing very well this fall. Perfect timing, decent riffing ;-) Of course we cannot compare with his youth but that would make no sense.

Is it just my impression that Mr. Jordan now does play softer than before? This seem to be decent version of Let it Bleed.

I must say after hearing this That there have been some changes at the mixing board and the sound of the drums is better now. And especially Keith on jumpingjackflash ;-) is playing very well. His timing is great.

Quotedrwatts The swing is not gone. Steve Jordan is a master of time and space, and one of the best drummers on this planet. He is the best candidate for this difficult task. Give him a little time and things will only get better. All musicians need a few shows to really get rolling... Keith was looking lean, mean, and on the scene! Keit played very well, yes. Mr. Jordan is great professional

Quotestargroover After watching numerous songs on you tube from last night’s show,it’s really sad the swing has gone.Kudos to those who have travelled far and wide to this show and are clearly putting a brave face on things. The swings gone man Yes swing is mostly gone. Still some songs were very good.

Quotematxil I like the new version of Paint It Black. It's less a Polish polka now, it's got more menace, dynamic and swing this way. Also, Sasha Allen is a good replacement of Lisa Fischer. Overall, I think they sound pretty good this time. No, this new version is wrong, maybe it can improve.

QuoteJeffer What a fantastic intro and also a fantastic version of SFM. This is the first time live that the drums are played like the album version. A clever way to honor Charlie because he never played like this live. Yes SFM version is good.

I do not want to contaminate other threads, so I'll write my opinion into this one. I listened carefully to streams and also to what's already on YT. The volume of the drums has been tuned down, which helps. The style is however almost the same as in Foxboro. Mechanical, playing the rhythm even where not necessary, sound-cutting, with hard hitting the drums. The sound is now full o

QuoteRocky Dijon I completely understand not liking Steve Jordan as the new drummer just like I understood not liking Darryl as the new bass player. The thing is, we have nearly sixty years of studio recordings and concert recordings with Charlie to enjoy. Instead of embracing the admittedly extreme reaction of saying "they should audition other players because I dislike their decision&q

Quotepaulspendel I'd like to support jumpingjackflash5 here. When people like omerchy61 start to swear in their response they lose the discussion anyway. Besides writing '...till the Stones put you in your place' sounds like attributing divine powers to the Stones. Which proves some posters see the Stones as some sort of religion that can't be critisized. Thank you very much
