Quotethewatchman See ya next year when we (the Stones and extended family) rock the world one more time! Special thanks to Rolling Hansie, Colonial, Gazza, and others, that have made my brief tour here an overall positive experience. One Luv, Gold Rings On Ya. Gold Rings indeed, I am glad next year is only a few weeks away!

Quoteemotionalbarbecue The reasons why I love Stones music is exactly the same reason why I can not stand heavymetal, hardcoremetal, speedmetal, deathmetal, motherinlaw metal, mentalmetal and so on metal.... Basically the same reason why Ava Gadner Lauren Bacall differ from a porn star. (nevertheless I can stand all kind of films...><) exactly!

QuoteMathijs Well, if you hear this being played loud in a club it actually is a quite a nice groove. Jagger's voice isn't aging nicely though..it's Dirty Work style barking, but then totally over the top nasal. Mathijs Barking and Farting Hahaha!!

Quoterebelrebel QuoteGravityBoy I do believe the word "gay" has been rescued by today's younger people after it's hijacking by the homosexual community and it now means other things like "naff", "crap" or "rubbish" (as well as it's original meaning). For most of it's life "gay" didn't mean homosexual. There are not excl

I think MJ just cannot resist. He seems to think staying current with whatever is popular will keep him relevant. It makes me wonder if he makes all of these decisions himself and if so if he has a defective bullcrap detector...

it is funny to me how many of you read the word GAY only in the literal sense and never moved away from that aspect of the post. Rubbish output from MJ was the point

Quoteyour posts title makes me wonder if you are even a nice person to put such closed minded and hateful message title like that. It says a lot more about you than Mick Jagger. that's silly talk - was Mick closed minded and hateful when he wrote Some Girls or When the Whip Comes Down?

Well, MJ has definitely released some pitiful knee slappers that make you wonder if he knows how to tell good music from bad. Even if I am not a fan of a certain genre, I can tell when an artist is putting their best effort forward... Superheavy is manufactured drivel that should be mocked and Alfie was putrid tripe too. T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever) is indeed sub teenager stuff hardly musical

Can you explain bit out dated drums please? To me, that is just the sound of the song and current fashion doesn't matter.

Quoteaudun-eg I don't see why people care. At best these lists are interesting / fun to read, but that's it. How to measure "greatest" when it comes to guitarplayers? It can't be done and who's the greatest comes down to personal taste and preferences. The only scientifically measurable factor in guitarplaying is speed, and in that case there's guitarists lik

Good points, there are always a few that seem weird like Johnny Ramone at #28; I think Dick Wagner beats any Ramone easily

another top 100 list and Keef is in the top 10!? Does that make sense. Even he would probably disagree... Rolling Stone They “assembled a panel of top guitarists and other experts to rank their favorites and explain what separates the legends from everyone else.” (Featuring Keith Richards on Chuck Berry, Carlos Santana on Jerry Garcia, Tom Petty on George Harrison). Rolling Stone’s “100

For those of us a bit disappointed with what was provided, here is my idea of a fresh visit to Some Girls plus selected bonus tracks as well. Fits on one CD too 1. Miss You (dance version)...Rarities 7:33 2. When the Whip Comes Down (live)...Sucking in the 70s 4:26 3. Just My Imagination (live)...Texas '78 6:40 4. Some Girls (live)...Shine a Light soundtrack 4:19 5. Lies...Some Girls
