I was always a sucker for "Down in the Sewer" and "No More Heroes" as well as later work. Almost saw them when we visited London on our honeymoon in 1981.

During the BtB tour, The Stones played in Madison and a friend, newly moved into a house in Waunakee (about 12 miles away),had a neighbor ask them if they could turn down the music. Her husband has hearing issues, so they don't play music in their house and were confused by the request until the heard the sound coming across the water from Camp Randall. I didn't think the show was that

While this virus seems to have emerged from an animal source, it is now spreading from person-to-person in China. There is no reason to think that any animals including pets in the United States might be a source of infection with this new coronavirus. To date, CDC has not received any reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19. At this time, there is no evidence that companion

Gimme Shelter was the first sell out for the film fest so far. Pretty impressive for a Tuesday night.

The only two times I saw Journey, in 1978 two weeks apart, were night and day. First show was at Milwaukee's Grand Slam Jam and Journey was a godawful opener on the bill. Two weeks later, after Southside Johnny and Peter Tosh, they killed it opening for The Stones (who, of course, slayed them) at Soldier Field in Chicago. At the time, Chicago was a big Journey town and it showed - they fed o

DBT is playing in Evanston the day before St.L, so the logistics are in place just in case. They would be a dandy opener. In fact, the second time we saw them, they opened for Alice Cooper while touring Southern Rock Opera.

GB beats DET on the last play to take their only lead of the game...again! Now, as a Badger fan, I'm rooting for #3 to beat the niners.

And my Packers take the North after thumping the Vikes with Aaron Jones and defense. Now they need to beat the Lions and then we become Seahawks' fans for Sunday evening. The North is not enough indeed.

Both SLF and The Avengers were great here in Madison. Both bands brought their passion and fire to a receptive throng. Dynamite school night show.

Nick's new release is incredible, probably the best of 2019. I'd also push you to Sincere Engineer, a great Chicago band with great licks and snarky wit led by Deanna Belos.

It's funny that the thread is entitled "bands of today" and almost all the performers are from the seventies/eighties. I was listening to The Struts today and thought they can do the glam Stones thing quite well.

My favorite is the cobra stage. The lotus stage wasn't used for outdoor shows in '75, so we made do with a predominately peamockly (my dad's word to describe that particular hue) green stage (and band outfits for that matter) at Milwaukee's County Stadium.

A couple people stated they didn't see an bootleg shirts after the show on Friday. Well, the were out on Tues; I saw 3 or 4 different shirts and, at $20, they were quite the bargain over the faux bootleg (parking lot?) shirts selling at the stands for $45. Better quality as well.
