QuoteBashlets I have no insider information and this is a rumor at best but a friend of mine bumped into someone who said producer Andrew Watt “ maybe” working with The stones in LA. I have no other info and don’t even know who this guy is. Haven’t googled him yet and again my friend said that’s all he heard and told me because he knows I’m a fanatic. Take this with a pinch of salt. Many tha

Quotefrenki09 QuoteBashlets the studio version was magical. I was 19 and I remember reading about a song called Waiting on a Friend and Neighbors in A Rolling Stone magazine article. people magazine had a photo of Jagger and Hall going to Mr Chows in NYC after Waiting on a Friend video shoot. Several weeks later my local rock station said new Stones single arrives tomorrow so I called out of w

QuoteDoxa To me BLOOD ON THE TRACKS is one of the strongest and most effective albums ever done. But I don't listen that very often (unlike many other Dylan albums). It is so strong, deep and dark, and going through such painful, nasty, awful, bitter emotions that one needs to have a certain mindset to handle it. And I don't have that that often, thankfully. It is not like great blues m

I still have to listen to a lot of stuff from his immense catalogue. For the moment i'm madly in love with 'Blood on the Tracks' and my favourite songs are 'Tangled Up in Blue' and 'Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts'. Then i'm addicted to these terrific live version of "It's all right ma.." ...and "Jokerman"

About Steel Wheels..."Mixed Emotions" was a great first single. I would have preferred "Highwire" as the immediate follow-up. That song was in the air since Primitive Cool sessions and would have been a great follow-up. Mixed Emotions/Highwire...just perfect!

QuoteHairball Hope Keith sings lead on a song (or two) on the new album. One of the reasons the Blue and Lonesome covers album suffered was because there were no vocals from Keith - not even backup vocals. If the songs aren't poor like Infamy, Losing my Touch or This Place is Empty.
