QuotePalace Revolution 2000 It's probably not a popular opinion, but I think all these old acts should stop. It's embarrassing watching them get wheeled out; not able to sing anymore. Well PR2000, THAT is axactly the "problem" with the Stones ... I don't know if you were in Berlin, but I can assure you that Mick was singing really good (to say the least) on Fool to Cry

QuoteRockman Set up camp at Muscle Shoals.... Record .... record ..... record ... Exactly Rockman, It's as simple as that. And ... whether one likes it or not: Rolling Stones gather no moss. It has been that way since our globe created rolling stones and it will never change as long as there are stones rolling. It feels great to roll along with Mick, Keith and Ronnie (while the othe

His poster of the 2014 (never happened) Hanging Rock concert took me by surprise. Nice to add to my Hanging Rock 2014 history "book". In fact I missed both Hanging Rock concerts that year due to two both sad events. But, together with my wife and (at that time Aussi) daughter dide climb Hanging Rock and learned about its mysterious past. RIP Ian McCausland.

QuoteGerardHennessy QuotePatrickS77 QuoteNilsHolgersson I think with ABBA its different because they havent performed as a group in over 40 years and generations of people havent had the chance to see them. So a 'hologram' show is as close to a real concert as fans can get. Now with the Stones they've been performing longer than anyone can remember, and everybody has the chance to

QuoteIrix Quotegeorgie48 There is nothing like “a sharing feeling” with all the other viewers in the theatre. Viewed in this way, there was also no “sharing feeling” with all the other spectators in Berlin Waldbühne (3-Aug-22) because people in the neighboring seats were strangers and not interested in each other. 3D green-red glasses are btw pretty low-tech (1970s TV) - there should be

I watched U23D in Sydney’s IMAX in 2008, having those special glasses (green-red) on. It could just as well have been at home on a home video screen. There is nothing like “a sharing feeling” with all the other viewers in the theatre. Also, there is no comparison with a real live U2 concert! (saw them in Amsterdam once). Frequently the band members changed in to artificial dolls. Almost creepy

There are so very, very many recordings both studio and live, that any fan loving the music of the Rolling Stones could be happy for ever, even next generations. For those who are in desper

QuoteIrix Interesting comments by the NYP readers: Lance McMillan - "I thought Ruby Mazur created the logo? Someone is lying." And reader Jon C - "I always thought Andy Warhol did that logo." Yeah, yeah, Mazur apparently had some laywers on his neck. On request I worked out all the nonsence Mazur put out. Lying is one thing, but what he did was behaving like a spoiled child

I think that when you have experienced one or more "club shows" of the 2002/2003 Licks Tour, you're a damn lucky Stones fan. All those "odd" songs on the set lists is what a diehard (but not only) Rolling Stones fan is dreaming about all the time. I think the Stones could easily take some more risks, because Out of Time proved that it can work to add "odd" song

Knowing the Rolling Stones from the beginning of 1964, I find it hard to answer your question. But, to start with, if he would have been "projected" as sixth member, his appearance as an "Elvis coupe guy" would certainly not have fitted with the image label that Oldham had put on the band. Personally I was all in for the way the Stones (partly including Ian at the backgrou
