QuoteMILKYWAY I have always liked this show. I have a half-dozen copies of it on LP and CD. Me too! The purity of five members adding to the new sound without any restrictions on the arangements of the songs is as naked the Stones will ever sound. Totally stripped down and exploring new songs and ways to play them. One gets the insight of maybe the most interesting part of the bands history ev

QuoteSighunt QuoteTravelinMan QuoteMathijs QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTaylor1 Who cares if Jagger overdubbed some vocals. The fact is the instruments other than the rhythm guitar on Carol have no overdubs. And it is hardly noticeable. And on Little Queenie. And Stray Cat. Mathijs The overdubs don’t do much but add a crunchier rhythm guitar. Doesn’t make the album nor change its legacy,

Can't remember seeing him with the flyig V during the american or european shows in '69-'70. Only back stage, so it was probably/maybe used during rehearsals. Also I believe he used it on some of the Exile-sessions. The only concert I can remember it from is the Hyde Park. -The coolest guitar Keith ever had!

QuoteSighunt Quotekowalski They should release a boxset from the 1969 shows like Columbia/Sony did with Dylan's 1966 tour... As a Stones fan who lives and breathes anything '69 tour wise, I pray that I see a boxed set of good quality soundboard recordings from the three 11/69 MSG shows before I die (the Baltimore and Boston shows which were also supposed to be professionally rec

QuoteMack Jigger QuoteS.T.P Will the buyer have the rights to release what's on the tape? Interesting question and a tricky one. But as it's more then 50 years old and ABKCO didn't release these recordings officially (not even for a couple of weeks on YouTube) the buyer might get away with it. Still a very expensive investment. But maybe somebody can form a group of around 100 me

Dont't know if I can answer your question, but it seems no of the "from the vault" releases are on Spotify. I only use Spotify so I'm not shure if ie. Tidal or other services has another deal with Universal. Maybe Universal don't whant theese releases to be available for streaming. There might also be a oportunity for bying the releases for download, but I'm not shur

There's a difference in a public statement and a private message. Have some respect. This is a reply to the other posts above, not the last about FB message from his wife.

(And I say this even though I have tons of respect for Steve Jordan - he is brilliant). I have to ask - would you be so willing to just roll with the punches if it were Mick or Keith that

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteS.T.P Could this be from some unused Robert Frank fottage? I doubt it. It's probably Bill Graham's work. You can see some Robert Frank footage from San Francisco 1972 in CS blues; "All Down The Line". Much closer to the stage. Yeah, you're right. ADTL is mostly close up from behind, and BS is close up front. Very intence filming and no long shots.

Good version, and great to see a complete sympathy from '69. Very strange that they still are holding back on the '69 fottage. Many fans have left the building ages ago. Realeasing a concert from '69 today will probably not be noticed in the mainstream media nowadays. They could just as well put it on a vault release... Thanks for posting!

QuoteEleanor Rigby What a great version!!! My numero uno... Thoughts? Dont tell anything post 1976 Your'e absolutely right! A very special version that captures the band as close to it's roots that they'll ever get. Non polished stadium rock, just pure gritty Keith, Charlie, MT, Bill and Jagger blues
