LRR rehearsal better than concert issue, sure. did anyone noted that in concert james cotton played a wrong harp (in F and not C as required by the song that's in G)? I think that part of the diffculties keith found playing can be assigned at it.

QuoteThe GR How fit and healthy there were 12 months ago is irrelevant to how they are now. charlie kept on playing, bill too, ronnie seems to get better and better (and his last album is a great issue), taylor can easily fit in. mick jagger is not a problem at all. sure i wouldn't want to see keith like these last two shows but that's it, take it or leave it.

I've been at the ambassador last year for boogie 4 stu, with mick T, ronnie, charlie and bill on stage and sure they can manage a few stones shows, in small venues, with keith in this shape. I'm not worried about mick J at all, he'll do as usual, just a little bit of more training and he'll be allright. keith, since the licks tour, is the real problem, worried just to be and l

kleermaker, it's the same for me. LYL version is just one of the bunch, an amphetaminic rush, it misses that particular swing that makes GYOOO version so different. m.

I think that the greatness and unicity of Stones' playing is that particular groove they have, mostly due to the rhythmic part of the band, keith, charlie and bill, in which both micks naturally fit in. and in '69 they reached their climax in that sense: get a close listening to carol, little queenie, honky just to name a few ... call it backbeat, call it groove, call it whatever you wa

I do prefer 69 tour most of all: a fabolous jagger, great guitars and a great rhythmn section. I think this period is the best due to the great production work and influence of jimmy miller: the stones never have had that groove and attitude like they had in those days. the band and miller himself were reaching their peak. what had followed is a consequence of this great chemistry they achieved.

I LOVE the man but his live playing is getting worse and worse; shame on the jam with Johnny Depp's friends, he went twice out of time repeating the same lick over and over ... really worried.

Hi Doxa good point referring taylor's solo but I cannot agree about keith's riffing: listen close to the incredible work he does strumming, never a line repeated twice, with a wonderful timing. and I don't think it would have sounded better in 1978: I guess it would have sounded different and please, without jagger noisy guitar!

Hi tele71 the bridge is simple, too, not difficult but a little tricky! and what a gas when You got it right playin' withy my band! I think keef's sense of rhythmn really shines on this song, very percussive.

hi guys during the first part of SWH ronnie is playing a gibson (you can argue it by the peghead's shape) but he finishes the song playing his usual strat. it seems the scene been taken from the same night (the whole band is wearing the same clothes and apparels) ... does anyone know what happened? thanks ciao
