I'm curious about the backstory to Francis Bacon's Mick triptych. Is this documented anywhere? Apparently it was auctioned by its owner in Florida in the early '90s. Though I adore Bacon's work, I can't say I'm wild about these portraits. It looks hasty like a commission but I can't imagine by whom. Considering what disfigurations Bacon's subjects und

Quotejlowe Quotecyclist Looking forward to seeing this movie. Tonight I watched The Man from Elysian Fields. Jagger's performance is endearing and understated---an aging Casanova. It's worth seeing. Playing himself then? No doubt about it.

It's difficult to name a more helpful fan of any rock 'n' roll band than Bjornulf. Never met him, but I wish him the best. His info, along with info from a few others on this forum, put everything in perspective and gave me crucial tips so that I could attend shows on this tour within my budget and enjoy them from locations ideal for me. And his bits of philosophy make him, in m

Quotekv2915 If you get there really early you might be able to sneak-park around the theaters without paying. I’m hoping to park around three. Any tips since the stadium lot probably won’t be open then? Thanks!

Today I considered for several split seconds skipping work and flying down, taking a cab directly from the airport (meaning I'd have nothing on me), buying a ticket online, and seeing the show. I hope I'm kicking myself for not making the trip! What's the deal with NASA?

Also, comparison is the thief of joy... ...until you realize that in 2019, the Rolling Stones are still the greatest rock and roll band on Earth.

It gets problematic if you follow anything obsessively. Yes, the Stones have declined. But yes, you probably went to too many shows, poured over too many setlists, too much footage online, emptied your bank account, and maybe devoted a bit too much of your being to obsessing over them. It rewards you, but it also embitters. I fell out of following the Stones from a Bigger Bang tour to 2016. Feels

Quoteerbissell I've heard the bus is fun, also had a friend that couldn't find it after a shoreline show one time and wasn't able to contact them - might not have been the bus companies fault though... Looks like that bus picks up at Jaxson in the Marina, I wouldn't recommend going in there it's like a wanna-be-frat-bro-fake-cowboy bar Yeah! I've lived in SF f

I'm a little worried about taking CalTrain after the show. Anyone have experience with that? There's a shuttle bus (from a private company) that goes from the Marina district in San Francisco to the stadium and back: The company, Mride, has good reviews, but I've never taken them.
