Mick is wearing that dinosaur shirt again! I saw it from photos of him in Venice for Burnt Orange Heresy. Such a great jab at critics crying that the Stones are too old...

Thanks for the heads up. Cautiously optimistic. This would be a great time for the Stones to put out a single.

Hilarious. Face value PIT for San Diego. The first I'd seen them. Just can't pull the trigger...

So how was this arranged? Perhaps an edited soundboard recording from a recent concert was the foundation, providing Charlie's drums and the samples we're so used to on tour, then Mick, Ronnie, and Keith recorded their parts?

Such a blessing to hear Bob share a little solace in the pandemic. "I met the contagion and sank to the tomb, My soul flew to mansions on high..."

I was 11 when I saw the video for Love Is Strong and became awestruck by these larger than life stars. All I knew of the Stones was Satisfaction from the oldies radio station (yes, the Stones were oldies then). I asked my parents for Voodoo Lounge for Xmas and got it, so I have a soft spot in my heart for these songs. Sparks is one of several great tracks on that album. Can you believe I still

Quotecoloradocanyons Quotejlowe Japan still seems to be a goer. And just announced: 25 US dates in June/July. Keep it rolling, Bob. Japan has been cancelled. While I anticipate Bob's shows being cancelled, that page says only Ludovico Einaudi has been cancelled. Confusing web page design.

Quotejackflash27 Hope I can see her on one of the European festivals this summer. How is she live? I checked some YouTube live video's, but not impressed with her voice on stage. Youtube videos are not always representative however... Can't say I was awed---she doesn't exactly translate live---but if you're at a festival on a sunny day and can catch her with others, it co

I'm a fan. Her albums are always worth checking out. She has good taste, and the ingenue persona is clever. She sometimes looks and sounds like a Hamptons residing, wife of a stockbroker on Wall Street. Or a "gangster Nancy Sinatra," I think she said... jackflash, I'd recommend Ultraviolence if you missed it, especially the first track "Cruel World": I saw her

I haven't done LDs, but from the reviews I read, people's luck in the US wasn't quite as good as the previous European tours. Also, in NJ, I saw a kid (I think from Argentina) try to sneak into the pit and get dragged away by security and detained by the cops. I don't know what happened to him---probably kicked out? His treatment seemed egregiously unfair. Abysmal treatment fr

What do people think the rollingstones.com presales will be like? You need to register for each show. It will probably be generic passwords like "midnight" right? Or unique to each email?

Looking at the map, I’m surprised to imagine 120,000 capacity, as BV estimated. I saw that this figure is for races, not concerts: The Circuit of The Americas™ track is a 3.4-mile circuit track with capacity for 120,000 fans and an elevation change of 133 feet. It is ideally situated on a 1000-acre site in southeast Austin.

Has anyone ever acquired face-value PIT tix ($500, not one of the Start Me Up or gold or silver packages) through the presales or on the day of the general sale? I had no luck for months but eventually got them for my shows with much persistence/annoyance... All was forgiven when SFM kicked off the show. ><

I'd say Rebecca Solnit, a feminist and brilliant author, said it best concerning her being an adolescent in the Bay Area in the '70s. “The dregs of the sexual revolution were what remained, and it was really sort of a counterrevolution (guys arguing that since sex was beautiful and everyone should have lots, everything goes and they could go at anyone; young women and girls with no w

Bollocks. Her albums the past two decades have been excellent. Her voice is tremendous, perfect for her Brecht/Weill covers on 20th Century Blues. Before the Poison; Easy Come, Easy Go; Give My Love to London all have tremendous moments. Tough to find a better model for how to handle a late career.

Can't identify exactly why England and Grip are unable to hold my attention. I'm more sympathetic to the songs than others here, but the production and political messaging (which I agree with) are so heavy-handed, the bland riffs and instrumentation become bludgeoning (like a brick wall) so that their mediocrity is emphasized. It also sounds like 30 people were involved in recording thi

Yes, I can see Bacon finding Mick's mouth appealing! Here's Bacon critiquing several works of art with brutal honesty. He saves his harshest criticism for himself: The whole documentary is engrossing, especially as Bacon gets increasingly blotto throughout the day. Talk about lust for life!

Bacon titled innumerable paintings "studies," including a few of his masterpieces. Perhaps a way to avoid criticism. He worked almost exclusively from photographs, so I wonder what he was working from and why.
