Quotejumpontopofmebaby Still can’t belive 19 songs. That’s the reward you get for rescheduling your travel plans staying an extra day. Sitting out a hurricane etc. This show should of had extra songs. This was a slap in the face period. It depends, if they still played the same length of the other shows, maybe they jammed out the later songs for a bit longer. Maybe they didnt. Europe was a 19

QuoteGasLightStreet Sat at the top of the dome at the end (it's lower than the sides in terms of the football field), just to the left of the middle of the stage, and the sound was quite quiet up there so it was easy to hear everything. They sounded good. Midnight Rambler was the best song of the night. Paint It Black had a very weird vibe to it - it was much slower, which works well, bu

This might be the best show on the tour. I'd give anything to see the Stones in a half empty stadium with a massive stage setup. It will be very intimate. I feel sorry for all the armchair weather forecasters thinking they will die if they travel to NOLA to see the show. I believe one poster even said they wont be able to do Jacksonville as a alternative because it will be "too hot"

Quotecoloradocanyons Quotejumpontopofmebaby I hope the Stones are able to get their stage / equipment out of there in time for to get to the next show. Hard to say if the show will go as scheduled. It's predicted the river will reach or exceed the average levee height of 20' on Saturday. At some point you assume traffic will be closed off around the metro area. They may have to

QuoteStonedRambler Really like these slow draggin' loose versions of the warhorses in the second part of the show. They sound really fresh and full of energy I do too. You can tell it was easy to have fun and dance to those songs during the show, while also feeling the power of the band.

I am listening to the digital version on Apple Music. I think this is the best live vault release so far...Maybe its just because its something "fresh", but i just like how they played on that tour. It's a different style and sound.

Quotedcba Quotenorthernale1 sad sad sad has to be one of the worst songs done live,, Don't forget Mixed Emotions... another sonic horror Funny that (in 89) they never tried "Hold On To Your Hat". This is one punkish, one-dimensional, "son of DW" track that would have worked okay during the SW tour. Let's face it, both of you are amateur Stone's fans. Sa

Quotepeoplewitheyes There used to be a great poster here, UrbanSteel (Jos, I think...) who used to have a link to a very detailed year by year list of studio/live shows. I think you could click your desired choice to download the material. So organsied and so great! Wow thats amazing! Please come back UrbanSteel!!!

I wish someone could post a comprehensive list by year, or link a website. That would be the easiest way to explore the unreleased treasure.

Quotepeoplewitheyes muncy23, why would it be a different story 20 years ago? As BV has stated, everything after 2012 is just a bonus. This is a different band than it used to be we should have patience and enjoy the band as they are. It is no longer a 3 year world tour but a simplified powerful string of 16 stadium shows. I would want to enjoy every last second of it in peace rather than to dea

If I were in Bjornulf shoes, being the stones veteran he is, i wouldnt ever tell where or what they are rehearsing. Maybe if this was 20 yrs ago it would be a different story.

QuoteGasLightStreet This has always cracked me up. Obviously it remains so: Mick Jagger (September 1997): No songs from Dirty Work! I keep trying to put ('80s) songs in, and either they don't sound very good, or no one's very enthusiastic about it. I can't make the band enthusiastic about songs they don't seem to be enjoying. You'd think (Keith)'d want to.

QuoteChris Fountain I do not think Hotel Rates will be an issue despite it being Labor Day Weekend. Most kids are back in school. They start school around mid August. In other words, there won't be many vacationers at that point in time. Hotel rates should be favorable. Gasoline prices right now are around $2.65 a gallon and rental cars such as Malibus, for example, can be had for a

Quotekeefmick Thanks Muncy. That one is sold out as well. I guess I was too slow on the trigger this morning. Arghh. Will have to stay a bit away and maybe walk to the double tree after the show and catch a cab/uber from there. Any other ideas? try the omni, it is very close too > yeah pulled the trigger this morning first on the Omni (bc we get a discounted rate at my company) and then r

Thank you BV for handling this board so well over the past month and a half. You and a handful of other Veterans have had some very good insights and takes. I have also seen some of lowest quality postings ever during the time period from tour postponement announcement until now. Some are arrogant, most are stupid, some seem like this whole thing is a game. The Stones are a human band, not a comp

Thanks. I see I am not the only one with this on the mind lately. I was just blown away by how awful it was when i listened to it yesterday. I literally almost dropped my phone while running trying to change it to another album so quickly. It is that bad IMO. So many great show on that tour and this is what they produced...

So I have been working out a lot lately and listening to one of God's great creations (Apple Music). I literally have all the music in the world at my fingertips for 9.99 a month. But I decided to dust off "Live Licks" afters years of neglecting it. The Licks Tour was my first tour (15 yrs old) and i had the opportunity to see 3 shows. IMO the tour was the last great Stones tour, a

We can all see by the bands listed in this Thread that America doesn't really make "good bands". Aerosmith is cool to see live, but the studio songs kinda suck. Grateful Dead was the greatest touring american band imo.
