Another 'no original members' band is Trooper. Their oldest joined in 2009. Also Tangerine Dream. The main guy died a few years ago and now the hired guns are carrying it.

Areosmith have a 2 week break in their tour during PT, so that's a possibility, though I wouldn't put them in the 'power' category, like the others. Based on availability, Crue or Leppard are more likely. JP has no dates scheduled this year. Megadeath will be in Sacramento CA on the 6th, so the 7th in Indio is possible. (No spot taken, I just like speculating, although t

White River Amphitheatre in WA has notorious traffic gridlock for shows, not to mention Neil 'solo' in a venue that large, might not be the best idea. Probably going to pass.

Technically, he doesn't actually lip sync, because he's 'singing' (or grunting, or emoting, whatever) live underneath a pre-recorded track. There are vids out there where you can hear the separation. I heard much of The Wall tour in 2010-11 had him doing this, and on tours before that, even.

Worst setlist ever, and his new stuff bores me. Sorry, Peter. 1983's 'Plays Live' is the high water mark imo.

Seems like anyone sitting in row 30 and back in the 100 level are subject to 'obstructed view' of the screen due to the balcony overhang. TM is offering limited exchange and refunds, but it doesn't seem to be going over well with some fans, who were sent an email with this notification. A U2 sh1t show? Who could have guessed? Can't wait for opening night.

QuoteDGA35 Is Peter Gabriel popular enough to play large arenas? He is in places like Quebec City and Montreal. Last time he played Vancouver in 2002, it was reportedly far from full, and he hasn't been back until now. Classic rock radio has kept him in the loop, so he'll probably do ok, but maybe the dozen initial dates are testing the waters for other markets. For Vancouver pr

Love em to death, but Nash and Young (Neil to a lesser extent) trying to talk him up now feels a little too little too late. I guess neither of them said everything was fine. Great interview. He talks a lot in prose, like in his current book and radio show. Definitely a complex person - even to himself. I guess when you've been gifted with creativity, though, you don't analyze it to death, or it might slip away.
