There is no comprehensive list online as the task is TOTALLY impossible. I did start one while I was at University but it become unmanageable. If anyone fancies doing it they are welcome to come and catelogue my stuff but it is probably a months work! When that is complete you will still be missing the odd in house disc produced in handfulls. UrbanSteel's list is a good effort and cov

Guys, Are we sure we want to go down this road - the CD-R one that is. It truely is endless and will screw with our heads! Often promos are produced in CD-R format as they are quicker and cheaper to produce in relatively small quantities so having a CD-R doesn't make it neceassarily mega rare, but likely to be one of a few hundred. However CD-R's are also used for early mixes and st

Doc, hopefully I have saved you sometime! I am currently on holiday just relaxing at home :-) This is the No Security French CD-R promo. The inlay card is actually green but doesn't show up that well. It comes with a colour copy of the front artwork in a Jewel case or sometimes without that in a rather odd snappy plastic case (not pictured).

Martinw, there is indeed a real 7 track CD-R for Rain Fall Down (pictured below). Yours is likely to be real (if it looks like the one below) as there aren't actually that many CD-R's that are faked copies, they tend to be just made up new ones with a different track list and with no disrespect to our German friends often come from there (exactly like most of the repro'd posters t

An attempt to answer the various questions! Glam Descendant: Voodoo Lounge Tour Souvenir (VLTS) doesn't have any live tracks just a mixture of VL tracks and warhorses (can you see them on the photo below to save typing?). The unconfirmed rumour about VLTS is that it was to be released in Japan but Mick just told the record company to sell more Voodoo Lounge! Out of Control is the only

The promo market is a bizarre one. Most of the earlier ones are basic limited track releases often without artwork (notable exceptions are the Japanese Promos). In other words they probably were genuinely rushed out to allow journalists to hear the new music. Over the last decade or so the music industry has also got wise to the large promo collecting market and there are few genuinely rare pr

Ablett, the yellow interview CD isn't very rare as it was sold shrink wrapped to Flashpoint CD, it's worth $10-$20. It is rare if you still have the pair shrink wrapped together. The Yellow CD covered all the back artwork/tracklisting of Flashpoint so there is a nice full CD sized sticker on the on back of the original shrink. A shrink wrapped pair should be c$80.

When I got my first one I was living at home! As you can imagine my parents were not impressed and my father a ultra tidy man was especially displeased that I sectioned a corner of his office for it! He was trying to raise a lot of money at the time for a technology business. He relucatantly allowed the machine to stay on the condition it was gone by the time an important investor came to visi

:-) This was the first Stones item I ever purchased. It was at my village fete for £1! I can't have been more than 10 or 11 years old at the time. That was the start of an addiction...which Chris Eborn's book (Rolling Stones Album / Not Fade Away) and the Band's performance at my first concert in 95 has to share responsibility for.

The price of these machines is HIGHLY variable (one of the most variable of all memorabilia items) as it depends very much on two things: 1) Condition On heavily played ones the play feild wears out and working parts on a 1983 machine break! The back glass design is also bubbled on many detracting from its appearance. Finding a good looking one in full working order is not easy. It is expens

I have had two but never had the space to keep them for long. I shipped one 18 months ago (at great expense) to a "friend" in Arizona who never paid for the machine or the shipping. Any "baseball" fans in Arizona?

Pleased to meet you is an extraordinary book with a fantastic collection of Michael Putland's outstanding photographs. A mixture of energetic live shots and intimate private moments. The production itself is perhaps less extravagant than many of the other titles in the range but it still remains a very high quality product. Many have criticised the pricing of Genesis' books but

Ronnie never agreed to do it. He said that if Townshend put together a band he would play with it but Townshend didn't and so he donated some special prints he did of Ahmet for the auction instead. It was certainly never agreed he was on the bill as he was shocked to hear he was actually listed on the merchandise! mattleeuk@gm

Rocks off, the sneakers are "Comme des Garcons". The same designer as the Aviator sunglasses on RS.com. Unfortunately they aren't even in my size! At $450 a pair, due to their very limited nature they sold out fast, even before I could get them in my size. This particular pair were bought from the designers Amsterdam store. I do have some other Stones shoes that are even rarer!

I agree with many here that it has certainly gone down hill. Isn't Bill's ownership share now minimal or non existent? If you have plenty of time in London then it is worth dropping by though. You are often able to at least run into a couple of others that share our passion. If you are serious about Stones collecting you might as well drop me a line ([email protected]) and I woul
