I haven't quite figured out the opening times yet but it between the Hyde Park shows it will be easy to come on down. The archive is located between London Bridge (18 minute walk) and Bermondsey (8 minute walk) tube stations. It's 10 minutes walk to the south end of Tower Bridge so ideal to fit in some sightseeing in the heart of old London. Lot's of people have asked me how m

I have started display building in earnest... Here is a sneak peak at my 67 to 70 display... (yes those are 73 passes in the wrong place!) Some highlights: Keith's Altamont top, RMS1, Brian's funeral address & programme, Hyde Park 69 Pass, Mobile Studio recording etc... etc...

QuotePeachykindagirl Hi Matt wow that’s great. Thanks for sharing. would be awesome if the museum would be open to us who are going to be in London between the Liverpool and Amsterdam shows June 10-11. Just a suggestion Yes, that's very possible, before and after the first and second Hyde Park shows too. We have been working hard on the space all day... lots more to do but the pressure is

QuoteChitown23 I was hoping to hear the museum would be open for my visit to London. Will we need a reservation? I will publishing opening times... announcing it here was just the extra motivation to getting it finished in time... I will most likely open everyday between the shows and a little before and after too. Going forward by appointment but at tour time I want to try and accommodate e

QuoteBarkerboy2 I really can't wait to visit! Hopefully will get to finally meet you in person Matt I'll bring my copy of Hot Stuff on the off-chance of getting it signed Very happy to sign copies of Hot Stuff! To be complete you need ChrisL too… it would never have happened with his commitment to helping me find everything and writing up all the stories. I have bought a couple of

Quotecrawdaddy Big thanks to Matt, and I'm sure 'Hot Stuff' is gonna be selling well on Amazon, when even more Stones Fans will hear about this book when the Tour gets going on June 1st in Madrid............................ if they haven't already heard about it. My pleasure! It's only £5 on Amazon right now... deal of the Millennium :-)

Quotetimmyj3 I received your book for Xmas and love it. Have you ever thought of doing a price guide for Stones memorabilia and records? Glad you love the book... I have indeed thought about a price guide, in fact the publisher wanted to call the book Priceless! However I wanted to avoid prices as they can be as misleading as they are helpful. The market has moved significantly over the ye

Dear All, I am delighted to announce that following on from the success of the Hot Stuff book I am opening the archive to be viewed and enjoyed by all in a newly fitted custom display space in central London. It's not quite ready yet but it will be by the London dates and the space will display over five times more stuff than the mini museum that I opened in my home for the last tour

Yes, the full story is a long story but in short ChrisL found the tape in my archives while we were researching Hot Stuff. We spent the best part of two years going through my stuff every Saturday picking out what to put in the book. The tape was mysteriously named CS/MJ and ChrisL had seen a piece where Carly had appealed to find the tape. Well it was there in my archive ;-) I contacted h

Dam! I completely missed this auction being a photo one… appears to be a lot but not compared with the other stuff that sold by Robert. One of the best pieces of Frank related pieces I have is a hand signed letter by him on his headed paper asking for more footage on the plane for the making of @#$%& blues!

QuoteJfk19562003 QuoteChitown23 We gotta wait until August to get this delivered? Worth the wait, I'm excited! Actually, now the site says September Yes, unfortunately it takes ages as Genesis editions are beautifully printed and hand bound. With the extra 64 pages and super high quality paper the book will be around twice as think as the mass edition. Genesis just called, there is o

Wow! Thank you so much…. As of an hour ago there were only 80 copies left! “Hot Stuff” has become one of Genesis’ fastest selling books on any subject by anyone ever. I am very aware my signature is worth nothing and it’s almost embarrassing to sign each copy but as a collector I understand people like signed books even if the author isn’t famous. I have plundered my archives to find 2,50

WOW! Thank you all, I am humbled. Genesis sent an advance ordering link to customers who had specifically asked for updates on the deluxe edition of Hot Stuff and we are already 60% sold out in 24 hours! The book launches to their whole database tomorrow evening so if it is something you fancy please take a look. It's super limited because every copy includes at least five original

It’s been rebranded Unzipped and I haven’t seen it since then but it still has plenty of my stuff. Charlie bless him called their first contract the most poignant item in the exhibition (Brian went off to sign it alone). The exhibition also has my copy of their first recording at IBC studio, my Street Fighting Mam sleeve and a bunch of my posters. I assume they still have the really cool part

It’s likely Woody meant all the other Stones titles. I have deluxe and collector of each Stones title plus several non Stones including all the Woody ones of course. I am such a fan of their work. Each publication is a work of art.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Can we select our own picks? It would be hard to accommodate all requests, there is a very high mix of Keith ones but also so Ronnie, Mick, Charlie, City, etc… There will be at least 5 items in each set. We are just figuring this out! Other confirmed items are original back stage signs, a laminate pass, a satin pass and a concert handbill. I am working on maybe a coup

Quotewoody Hi Matt Genesis are reluctant to put a price on the limited edition, just asking people to register interest, unusual for them. I have all the other publications and I am interested, but wonder why they haven’t priced it ? It’s not been priced yet because we haven’t quite finalised the specification. The costs can change quite a lot depending on the run size too. we really liked the

This is just the biggest honour to have been asked to do a special edition of Hot Stuff with Genesis Publications. Back in the late 90’s I was a student and dreamed of having their beautiful books. We are adding a detailed solo section as well as some iconic pieces that I have acquired in the last ten months since the original edition went to press. Most excitingly I am selecting five pieces o

I am yet to read this beautiful book but I am very much looking forward to it! The presentation is delightful and it's a proper top notch tomb! From a collecting point of view this first edition has all the qualities necessary to be highly prized. Geir has clearly done an incredible job and is literally giving these away for such a limited edition. If you haven't already bought one,

Dear IrelandCalling4, so great to hear you found Hot Stuff in a real book shop! Thank you for your kind words... It was so much fun to put Hot Stuff together after 25 years collecting. I was sent this picture the other day by a Stones family member which made me smile... Hot Stuff in the window of Labyrinth in Glastonbury!
