I'm not a fan of the "cute bubblegum popstar" guest spot but I'm not that upset either. Let's face it: they've gone to considerably great lengths to make sure that die-hard fans are satisfied by bringing back Mick Taylor despite his lack of commercial appeal. Mick Taylor playing with the Stones on a 50th anniversary arena tour was just a wet dream a few years ago.

Yes, Cornwell will be at the Highline Ballroom on December 8th I think. The VIP ticket (which includes a meet & greet) is priced at... $45! You would barely get a beer at a Stones' concert for that price...

You know what else would sell? A remix of "I Can't Get No" or "Sympathy". Does it mean they should do it? NO.

I think the lowest was reached when they asked Katy Perry to be a guest. Thereafter, besides Rebecca Black, I don't see who can be worse.

QuoteStonesTod Quotemicwer Any fan(s) out here? Just curious. I saw them last night in NYC at the Highline Ballroom and they were spectacular. who was their young hot chick guest singer? LOL! They had so much energy for a quartet (2 of which are above 60), it was insane. They didn't need a younger audience magnet.

I missed the second night but I remember booing Bon Jovi as loud as I could. I almost got into a fight with the family of hicks that came just for him (they left one song into the Stones set!) when I screamed "F**k you" when BJ asked the crowd "what do you have to say about that" at the end of a song...

I absolutely love Sweethearts together, it reminds me of the summer of 1994 when Voodoo Lounge came out. I was 17.

QuoteWoz Thanks for all the links......I've been to 35 or so Stones shows since '78 and the 12-13-12 show ranks up there with the best I've been to over the years. I've only been to 12 of them, but both Newark shows rank at the top. Better than both Beacon shows that I was fortunate to attend.

Quotefrankotero That was a great way to begin a concert. Fans perfectly describing why we love The Stones. MonkeyTonkMan definately stood out from the others though. Glad this has been pointed this out. Was this in the ppv? I hope the whole intro is there. Yes, it was in the PPV. I'll try to post a screenshot later today if I'm not too lazy...

According to my sources, he got a hug, the right to be on stage with the other four members for the final bow, and a mug with Grrregory face on it that says "I played with the Rolling Stones".

QuoteGazza Monkeytonkman, I believe. A show stealing performance. There's not many people out there who can claim they upstaged Iggy Pop. Ah ah agreed. And Johnny Depp.

I was wondering if the fan who appears in the Stones' 3-minute montage before the "50 Years and counting" concerts is a member of the iorr.org community -- I'm talking about the dude in the Voodoo Lounge t-shirt with long hair. I thought he was brilliant.
