I got down to Hyde Park Corner a lot later than I was hoping for to meet up, and made my way to The Swan Pub, but somehow took the long way round and didn't know anyone who was there. Met a few Stones fans for a chat and then took bus to Leicester Square and met a few more fans there. Running late, but got to the same place in the Park as last Saturday and it was gone 8pm. Between West

QuoteElmo Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness still tour as ‘The Manfreds’ and play a good selection of the original band’s blues material and solo work. A really entertaining night out and they come out to meet the fans in the interval and are very approachable. They are also celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. Completely agree with you there. I saw them at The Epsom Playhouse Theatre back

The only times I have used British Airways, apart from emigrating to Australia as a 17 year old in 1969. Got there via New York, San Francisco,Hawaii, Suva and Sydney for free and took 36 hours back then. Back in the 80's and 90's there was a little known secret known as a courier ticket on BA and American Airlines back in the days before the internet when original documents were re

Well said SomeTorontoGirl and so glad you enjoyed your stay here in London Town. Loved Toronto on my two visits way back in the 80's and 90's. I was outside in The Park for the two gig's and great sound, lovely people, and their pet dogs, all having a great time.

These documentaries are what they are. Most Rolling Stones fans will be quite happy with seeing four new BBC progammes highlighting Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie. Have only looked at the Mick one, and loved it, along with Live at The Fonda and Totally Stripped following on. Will probably not look on i-player and just look forward to the next one on BBC2 next Saturday.

Just been watching the first out of the four programmes and thought it was great. Got nearly 3 hours more with Live at The Fonda and Totally Stripped and may have seen them before.............. but not sure. If I get tired later I will go to bed and get a good night's sleep, and get up to Hyde Park or Leicester Square area by about 2-3pm. See You All There.

So glad the gig at Hyde Park #2 is gonna be on Sunday evening as I'll be able to watch on UK BBC 2 Saturday, the first part of the new Stones 4 part anniversary programmes with Live at the Fonda, and Totally Stripped following on. All starting at 9.30pm and ending at 1.30am. Should be a good night, as will Sunday night be at Hyde Park.

In my opinion, Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie are all very intelligent guys in differant ways. They each have a great knowledge in all the subjects they are interested in. Probably lots of interests we don't even know about. I speak about this in the present tense....................... as I still feel dear Charlie is with us, and watching every gig from up above.

Here's a link where you could probably see at least one song from all the performers on Pyramid Stage and The Other Stage. Click on videos link as well after this one.

Quotemr_c_ox Out of curiosity does anyone know what sort of business the touts were doing? I am tempted to come down for this Sunday but can't afford much. Any feedback most welcome. Thanks! Go to the Box Office windows on the way to The Serpentine, nearer the time of the gig and make enquiries as to the ticket prices as the price may be lower. Try to negotiate a cheaper price. If you don&

I didn't have a ticket although there were quite a few scalpers around, buying or selling tickets.......... or fake tickets. Also plenty of Box Office windows to buy tickets, but I and many hundreds of people went for the option of sitting on blankets on the grass in the Park. Lot's of food was bought along as well as coolers with beer and lager and even pet dogs were bought alon

Just catching the last part of Paul McCartney Saturday headline set and 12.40am on BBC1, and even if there is an hour delay, he was still playing till well past 11.30pm . How about Dave Grohl as a guest for a couple of songs, and one and only time I've not heard him swear on stage. Also how about Bruce Springsteen as well, as a guest on a couple of songs including 'Born to be Wild

Train and tube disruption will make it a nightmare for getting to the gig by a reasonable time, and virtually impossible to get back home. So looking forward to see so many friends and Stones fans again, but hopefully Saturday afternoon will see you in the line for The Rolling Stones, or a pub in the area. Have a really great time everyone tonight and looking forward to the videos of the

I lived in the Somerset/Gloucestershire area and about 20 years ago saw Walter Trout and his band play at The Cheese and Grain Pub, but I guess it's a bit bigger than most pubs now. Really nice pub to see live music.

Looks like Paul McCartney on the Pyramid Stage live on Saturday BBC1 10.30pm to 12.35am but not sure if it's a time delay or really live. Other acts for me are Crowded House highlights on BBC4 8pm Friday night. Diana Ross on BBC1 Sunday night 6.45pm to 8pm. Herbie Hancock, Declan McKenna and Dublin's Fontaines DC Sunday night BBC2 between 5pm to 6.45pm, Elbow between 8pm to 9.

Just had a look at the TV pages for the next few days and BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 and BBC 4 have all got live coverage at various times, starting tonight with a half hour introduction to the festival on BBC2 at 10pm. Unfortunately for music fans, a lot of it is not available outside of the UK. This link may be OK for outside of UK, for youtube videos of the various acts soon after their performanc

Don't think I've ever heard a Kate Bush interview before. I guess a Stones connection is Charlie and Keith were never obsessed with the Internet and smartphones etc,and Kate seems to be on the same wavelength.

I've been down to Epsom Station which is 5 minute walk away, and not a single train running on June 21st,23rd and 25th. Three buses to get to Hyde Park area. Not looking good from where I live.

What a lovely place Krakow is, and I will always remember having about 5 days there, middle of winter, with ice and snow every day about 2005. About -15C and staying in a great, cheap hotel in the centre of town. Done plenty of walking and sightseeing to keep warm. ><

I used the train on Thursday evening, and signs at the station were actually saying there will be loads of disruption between June 21st and June 26th. Also said 'Try to find alternative transport and only try to travel by train if it is really necessary.' Doesn't sound good, and the main trade union is just not budging an inch.

Best Wishes to Paul on his 80th Birthday. He deserves a day off today from Touring, and I think I'm right in saying that his next gig is headlining Glastonbury next Saturday June 25th. The Rolling Stones are obviously at Hyde Park at the same time. I'm really hoping fans can get to the gigs and back home again without too much disruption from this damned rail strike.
