no offense, but if you're over 12 years old, ed debevic's is a juvenile waste of time. the best burger in chicago, hands down, can be had at kuma's corner. always a wait for a table, and blaring metal music and heavily-inked waitstaff, but the burgers and house-made chips are amazing. very interesting beer list, too.

the best music shop in chicago is "rolling stones records", on the northwest side at roughly harlem avenue and forest preserve drive. it's very interesting, lots of cds and dvds in all genres. i've been to several mick taylor shows in chicago, and he was very gracious in giving autographs after the show. i guess it might depend on the venue, but one place actually had a small room behind the stage where fans were invited in, a few at a time, to meet mick and spend a few minutes with him.
