I just got tickets for Clapton & Winwood in DC. Top price for tickets were $158, and then $88. I got some good seats in sectioin 109 for $88. IF you paid me $500 I still wouldn't go see Michael Jackson. His nose might fall off in the middle of the concert and I don't need to see him grab his balls either. I can't imagine one month of MJ in England at those prices. I do

I enjoy the lively discussion about our favorite band-you're a fun group. What is your Christmas tradition? I always make pasta with Anchovy sauce on Christmas eve, its a secret family recipe that I learned from my

Outstanding--I really liked the Buddy Guy piece, it really shows that they are still a great blues band. Chistina was cool, she held her own against Mick and was just sexy enough. I really enjoued, You Got the Silver, wonderful guitar playing from Ronnie. A masterpiece.

My wife is going to graduate school so she has to write a paper this weekend.I have to get out of the house. I will do all the food shopping, drop the clothes at the dry cleaner, do the banking. I will also take in a movie. I'm thinking about 10,000 BC which appears to be pretty stupid, but I need a pretty stupid movie right now, my job has been realtively stressful lately. What are you

Since things are a bit quiet I thought we could share some of undiscovered gems. My Blues artist gem is Terry Garland. I've seen him live once, really wonderful. You can fins his cd's on e-bay or amazon and he has a yahoo group and web site that lists his shows. He usually plays in the Richamond area and travels to Pennsylvania to play sometimes. I highly recommend him. Who are you

QuoteLukesterQuotechris girard Aerosmith is from Boston and they would be pretty good 1/2 time entertainment, not the Stones, but Ok. I hope we don't get any hip-hop stars at 1/2 time, I hate hip hop and rap. Hey chris, word on the street is that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be playing at half time....but you didn't hear it from me..... I've seen Tom Petty and the

I was born in Boston, so I have to favor the Patriots. Something must be in the water there this year, the Red Sox, Patriots and the Celtics are 30-6. It would be real nice if they went 3 for 3 and got won all three championships. Aerosmith is from Boston and they would be pretty good 1/2 time entertainment, not the Stones, but Ok. I hope we don't get any hip-hop stars at 1/2 time, I

This is my all time favorite Rolling Stone song. I loved it the first time I heard it and it only gets better with time. I've seen it twice live and was thrilled. My interpretation of the song, is that its about despair and the worst things about the world, but its all made right somehow by love. Chris

I never thought he was funny, just a mean son of bitch. I don't care if he's gone, no loss to me. I am a little worried that we seem to be getting very close to censorship here.

Merry Christmas to all of you on the board. I don't post often but read it everyday fathfully, particularly at work. Today is my wedding aniversery also, one year and counting. We played Miss You at the wedding, another of my favorites. Honky Tonk Women probably would not have been appropriate for a wedding. So happy holidays to all of you. Chris

I saw Dylan Saturday nite, sorry I didn't get the set list, bt he did Like a Rolling Stone and All Along the Watchtower. His voice is pretty well shot, but his band is great. The tickets were $47.00 but the beer was $7.00/bottle. Great little baseball stadium. If you et a chance to see him, its a nice concert, three openers, you get your monies worth. Next concert, Dr. John in November.

Thanks for the tips...Saw the Stones in DC at the beginning of the tour, wish they were coming back for one more time, but at least I got to see them again. Going to see Dylan on Saturday and Dr. John in November, that will finally blow all my concert money for the year. Also if you like the blues check out Terry Garland, I saw him in Maryland one nite for $12, great blues guy. Thanks again C

I'm traveling to Athens in a few weeks and would appreciate any suggestions for good place to eat. I really dislike going to the tourist places, I'd rather experience real places that cater to local people. I'll also be visiting Santorini and Crete. Thanks Chris You know, speaking as an American, if I could manage it somehow I'd leave America and live in Europe. I think

I'm listening to Dylan's concert in Scotland I got from Dime. I also am listening to Terry Garland, an American Blues singer from Richmond, VA. I saw Terry live a few weeks ago, small audiance, he came around and spoke to everyone during the break. IF you are a blues fan, I'd strongly recommend Terry. You can get his Cd's on Amazon and maybe on Ebay. Tomorrow on the one hour dr

I've met Stones Doug and he is a real decent guy. I think all this stuff about boycotts is just crazy. I check both boards and comment on both. I like talking to people all over the world. I set up a nice trade with someone in France during their last tour and it worked out fine.
