For 20 years, everyone bitched because the Stones would not unzip the pants of their vaults. Now that they are unzipping, everyone keeps on bitching. I have every single track in traded circles and all of the releases, reissues, alternate remasters, etc., and I can't wait to get my hands on the new stuff, because whatever we have, we ain't got dis stuff, babies!

This is a various artists promo from 1968 in Japan, and Mick recorded a special spoken-intro for the JJF that appears thereon. These do not turn up often. See:

Is there some web site somewhere which breaks down the variations of songs from one release format to another? Example - Beast of Burden on the Some Girls LP is very different than Beast on the 8-track. I already know that some of you know this stuff by heart, but has anyone put this on some web-site that I can view? Thanks!

I am sorry, Cindy, but I do not know how to upload shows. If someone will tell me how, I will take a crack at it. Ghostryder, while I appreciate the link to the Philly Special CD upload, those are the No-Noised ones. I am looking for the rips from the original Philly Special LP boots if anyone has those.

Hello - Has the original vinyl version of Philadelphia Special ever been ripped to CD? Also, what is considered to be the best version of the Philadelphia 72 stuff on CD? I have the Let's Work 8CD set which is much better that Stones' Touring Party's version whcih seems to be identical to the Swinging Pig 2CD set from 1989. Hoping some kind soul will weigh in on this.

I think that on Colson's 72 Tour site there is an account of Mick having a whiskey bottle thrown at him and thereafter him addressing the audience by telling them not to throw bottles at him. Also, there is the famous boot story in Anaheim at the close of the 78 US tour where there was one really cool boot thrown on stage, and both Ronnie & Mick expressed later that they wished that the

Hey - If anyone has the famous Philadelphia Special from the 72 Tour that is from the original LPs and thus not "no-noised" to death and that person would be kind enough to upload it, I would be so grateful!

Is there a good web site or 2 that I can go to to figure out details on various titles. For instance, I would like to know if there is a site to which I can go to see the differences between the recording titled Sweet Black Angel (4CD) and Ahmet Ertegun, Thank You. I'd also love to find out which titles are copies of prior titles issued. Can anyone steer me?

I have been trying to access the artwork web link many have posted (rolling.no-ip.com), but it will not let me in. Is there some other link to that art or some mirror site perhaps?

IMHO, the 72 show and band, night in and night out blew away the 75 band, period. 75 brought the ill-effects of years of the coke abuse - just listen to Jagger's phrasings and the sheer volume of shows that were dialed-in by the band. 1972 was a tour where any given night, with an exception or two, one paid for and one got the Greatest R&R band in the whole wide world. Even song

There used to be a lot of talk that Stevie Winwood, Jack Casady, and many others were on some of these recordings. Does anyone know of a good web site that can give us the real dope on this and who was there?

Tried this in the Tell Me forum, but no answer: This is up on Ebay right now as item # 190190247282. It's also referred to as th Jumpin Jack Flash Years. Has anyone bought this? How is it? Any newly released music in it? Recommend it or no? Thanx!

Because a touch of glimmer is more addicting than smack...... Because 2000 pieces of vinyl and another 500 plus live and boot CDs scream at me every day like geese wanting me to shoot water rats.... Because the band's music is just so damn good!

It must be a combination of both. I would have to say that can not be the sheer number of items, or else 50 Miss You US 45s w/ PS would command a price of $2K. Demand is everything. If one assigned an item-by-item value, the collection might be theoretically worth one total amount, but because many of the items could not be sold due to no demand therefor, such composite value might be unrealis

Syd Barrett comes to mind........ Though it's hard to argue with Elvis, but Peter Green's self-extraction from the scene and Mick Taylor's idleness are very close.....

I know JR well, and I have seen his collection, and it is absolutely astounding! That said, even he will tell you that one can never have it all. Having been a collector of this stuff for over 30 years, every time I think i have the entirety of the US run of 45s and sleeves, another label variation or matrix variation shows up. As has been said, it IS a disease, and I can assure y'all

Great stuff, all of you before me. Making me bust out some oldies and some "deep trax!" I think that among Jagger's best moments are: 1. The "Oh Yeah" at the beginning of Rocks Off/the rest of the song - grab yer packages, people! 2. Back of My Hand - my God! 3. Jumping Jack Flash 4. Hey Crawdaddy - 65 Olympia 5. When the Whip Comes Down 6. Prodigal Son - oh s

For you Zep guys, John Paul Jones indicated in an interview some time ago that the longest Zep show was the legendary Boston Tea Party show in 69 where they played 4 hours and just loads and loads of covers like Please Please Me, etc. I have searched high and low for a recording of this but to no avail other than a horrible sounding one of about 10 songs spread over 2 CDs..... Is the whole th
