My band, The Non-Filters have entered a local radio contest, Decent Exposure, and we need online votes to get a chance to play in the live contest. We're more influenced by The Stones than any other band, and I feel more of that type of music needs to get out and heard. It's a dying breed. So help us out if you've got a minute. You can vote once a day everyday for the next ten

Quotemtaylor Taylor ready: Damn! that is incredibly rough. I've never heard Mick Taylor sound like that. Bring back Mick Taylor for 2013 and have him playing this over top of Keith's 'Promised Land' performance, and it'll be a really short show.

I put Flashpoint on this week in the car and have listened to it over and over for some reason. I've read in numerous posts on here that Keith does not play on 'Highwire'. Is that for sure? Cause that guitar in the right speaker really sounds like him. Is there evidence somewhere to suggest otherwise? Just really curious. Also, on a side note, I found an early appearance of

QuoteMore Hot Rocks Quotebestfour Keith's age, injury, arthritis, it's robbed him of his playing. That video wasn't tolerable, it sucked... hard, which is very sad, but I think it's time to write this whole thing off now. See what I mean Keith, here's more ok it. I don't think his age injury or arthritis can cause you to play solos in the wrong key. I think he&

Quotememphiscats QuoteMrMonte Wow, that sounds just like our new friend, Literary Keith. "A Must Read!" "Better than Cats!" Better than Les Mis.... Actually, I'm really looking forward to reading Bobby's book but not due to the minions/toadies/creepers...But maybe our derisive feelings towards the minions might be job envy. Let's face it - wouldn't it be

This might already be posted, but it's much better quality than that one I've been watching. I think it sounds pretty fantastic. Don't understand what everybody's whining about.

Bridges to Babylon Tour by far. The Mick Taylor solos ruin this one for me. Love him on most songs, but it pulls Gimme Shelter too far from the recorded version. I wanna hear Keith play the solo.

QuoteMidnight Toker the song reflects Mick Taylor's lead playing at his best. He rips the Am pent. scale on his Les Paul like a bluesman with an attitude. the whole song has MT stylistically weaving from lane to lane, passing others like a Porsche Twin Turbo on the Autobahn fretboard. great guitar work. I miss MT. Keith may created the opening riff, but MT should have received some songwr

Awesome pic. How tall is your friend? I've always been curious about how tall Keith is. I got to meet Ivan Neville last year. I went and saw Dumpstaphunk and the crowd was pretty small. He hung around and talked to a bunch of us after the show. Super nice guy.

Quotebestfour One brilliant Rythm'n Blues album with 10 new tracks and a Tour with it, we'll all be happy. Really? People on this board happy? People on this board satisfied with The Stones no matter what they do? I'll believe that when I see it.

My parents have always talked about that! Ha! Never knew anybody else noticed it til the Voodoo Lounge Miami vhs came out and Ronnie Wood introduces Mick, "have a look, have a look, for the first time, Don Knotts...Mick Jagger".

Quoteab Both shows are top-shelf. But Brussels is as good as I've ever heard them play. What's interesting in comparing them is the differences between Keef's playing in the two shows. He plays his somewhat rote junk licks as well as he ever played them in Brussels, but he seems more actively involved in the music in Texas. Agree completely. I love Mick Taylor's play

QuoteBlueranger To me, it sounds like So Young is a new 2011 vocal. For sure, it's not the same 1993 vocal we know from the b-side. The guitars are also different compared to the b-side. It could be alternate takes from 1993 or 1978 takes. Chuck Leavell's piano solo is the same as on the 1993 version, though. The guitars gotta be the same. They play the same parts, they just sound

He's one of the finest vocalist ever in my book. Not a good straight up singer but he sure can deliver a song in any era, except live 81/82 I don't really care for. I'm still quite fascinated with his voice and how naturally he can move it around in a song. Honestly, I have no idea what people are talking about when his voice gets criticized on here. I try not to read those thr

I just got the new Rolling Stone Magazine with the new SuperHeavy review. The picture of the band rekindled my interest in Mick's height. Joss Stone is reportedly 5'10". I used an architectural scale rule to calculate the height of each member, putting Jagger at an astounding 6'3". Just imagine, at the beginning of the Bigger Bang tour, he was the same height as Joss
