quote]Absolutely! Its shocking to see how history-fixed some people here are. Unfinished stuff is for bootlegs! I dont wanna hear a track like Highway Child with only lead vocals, one guitar and drums on an official record! I have it in great quality on bootleg already! If the Stones have great ideas to finish this track with bass, keyboards, lead guitar, proper lyrics whatever else, they should

I like the idea. I don't care for "half-baked" versions. I like them to sound release-able. Even more, if Taylor is overdubbing the songs, we are as near as possible with the Exile-lineup. I don't think it's a bad idea. I would certainly be upset if Ronnie overdubbed these songs, as he had nothing to do with them.

Most likely a folddown, like the UK mono Let It Bleed. But the whole thing feels punshier than the stereo. The reason I think it's a folddown is because of the mixes of Brown Sugar and Bitch. They are mixed excactly the same way as the stereo versions, but sounds a lot different on the mono single.

I like the album, but it suffers from bad production. If you listen to the instrumental versions from boots, you'll hear really groundbreaking sonic landscapes. I think they did a lot of "bouncing down" on that album.

I think the released take is also on the boot "Everything's Turning To Gold" with B-sides from 78-98. Although it's the same take and overdubs, I think it's a bit longer than the 45 rpm version. Can anybody confirm this?

QuoteBjorn No 2! It´s the european albums that counts! I beg to differ. Why does No. 2 count more than 12X5 and Now!??? All the early albums were a hotch-potch of different sessions. Plus, all albums (Uk/Us) were compiled by Andrew Oldham. I think the americans have another opinion about what counts as "real" albums.

Rolled Gold + (the expanded 4 vinyl disc reissue). Hands down. It has all the big hits from the 60's as well as the most important key album tracks. It doesn't get any better. Nice mastering too. Hot Rocks is ok, but it misses a lot important songs: The Last Time, It's All Over Now, Have You Seen Your Mother`, She's A Rainbow. More Hot Rocks have them ok, but if we only ha

Following a question asked elsewhere on these pages. I have never really understood it in full: What was the consequences of the deal The Stones made with ABKCO in 1970? Does someone know or have a scan of that deal???

I've read that Jody Klein has been interviewd for the newest edition of It' Only Rock 'N' Roll. Is it possible that someone could tell what they discuss in that interview? I'm not asking for a transcription, I know the interview belongs to subscribers of the magazine.

Maybe, but I think Keith had a lot of riffs and ideas for songs that they didn't finish. It was quite obvious that Mick had 3 songs nearly finished and Keith had 1. There wasn't time for the other stuff. Maybe I'm just a wishful thinker though...

I think it was OK, but nothing more. The ideas that floated around sounded promising, but unfortunatly they left many of them on the floor. The decade started off nice with the ABKCO remasters. Lovely sound and packaging. And though it was a little messy here and there (the Uk/Us issues), it was overall a good job. The 1960's Stones catalog could now be laid to rest. Forty Licks wa

A folddown is laying the two seperate stereo outputs together, to create a mono output.
