It’s a list of the people on the cover, which stems from an internet site no longer available: "Note the folks and acts on the cover: Alzoria Green, 3 Ball Charlie, Frieda Pushnik and baby, Frances OConnor, Johnny Eck, Jerry Austin, Ward Hall & Harry Leonard, Prof. Heckler Flea Circus, Congo the Jungle Creep, Sword Ladder, Worlds Smallest Woman, Electric Chair, H

I hope the OP knows that it is just as much The Rolling Stones themselves who are blocking the release of vault material. ABKCO can’t release any studio outtake without band approval. It was rumored that Mick and Keith were in a studio earlier this year, listening to Beggars Banquet outtakes. Still, an agreement could not be reached with ABKCO. If ABKCO would be allowed, they would have be

QuoteRollingFreak How much of what this is different from Anthology 3? Is everything on there on this? Is this all NEW stuff? Is there any overlap? 7 demos re-appear. On the big boxed set, there are 3 additional discs worth of outtakes, of which 99% of it are different takes to what appears from White Album sessions on Anthology 3. In other words: They aren’t trying to pass of the same outtakes

I found this by pure luck. With an intro by Jagger during the first seconds and then from the 24:00 mark and the following 10 minutes, a segment of soundcheck by the band playing Honky Tonk Women + interviews with Mick & Bianca, all made on the eve of the premiere of the 1975 Tour. Enjoy!

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteBlueranger A real treasure is The Beatles Mono box. AAA vinyl from original master tapes. The majority of it sounds even better and more dynamic than original pressings. Seldom has a collection of vinyl records been so properly cared for. Of course it’s pretty hard to get now and it goes for crazy prices on Dicogs... Wasn't there a lot of fuss when it came out

Quotepeoplewitheyes mono and stereo cds and a DVD for Beggars B? no extra tracks and stuff? Why don't they take a leaf out of The Who, Beach Boys and (I think) Beatles books and give us alternative versions, outtakes, other unused songs... Perhaps I should lay off the complaining until the product's out, right? Correct. We doesn’t know any of additional content yet. Wait com

I can inform you that I personally have been in contact with Andrew Loog Oldham via e-mail in 2012, regarding the US albums and who made them: "We went along with the american idea that US fans expected the hits in new LP's and felt cheated if they did not get them. In the UK we knew that the opposite was true and had we included hit singles then the fans in the UK would feel cheat

Quoteschillid Is it "official"? An Abkco collection with a tongue? That has happend several times since the agreement between both parties were sealed in the eighties. As long as both get a their fair share of the royalities. Both parties does also make their own projects, though. Also it’s worth noting that every piece of unreleased music ABCKO wants to release, has to get the bands

On studio songs, he is on a few. Shirley Watts, as far as I renember, is also contributing the high-pitched vocal to Please, Go Home.

Got my lp today. Great sound, not quite as ‘cluttered’ in sound as later releases. Keith nearly gets the intro to I Got The Blues wrong, as he clearly starts to play the intro lick to Love In Vain!

QuoteRocky Dijon I'm curious if these reissues are strictly ABKCO or if they'll be ABKCO and Promotone like the BBC set. If it is not Promotone, I very much doubt Don Was will be involved. If there are alternate versions or a few outtakes included, I wonder if this is part of what Mick and Keith were up to in the studio earlier this year along with writing and reworking new material.

Oh dear! All these lame excuses about Keith playing the intro to SMU wrong, blaming this and that. He is old and he does not play very good anymore! That's the reason!!! Simple.

QuoteLeonidP QuoteTheGreek I love the setlists ... Ugh! It drives me crazy! I can't stand their setlists. Not that I don't love the songs, just that it never changes, for the most part. The ones on "every show" have been that way for years now! TAKE THEM OUT! ALL OF THEM! So, you are seriously expecting the band to play 'deep cuts' at these shows? Shows were

I'm pretty fine by having the 1994 remasters and I think they do sound very good, so they are my go-to versions. However, I'm interested in hearing opinions on the Japan remasters using the "flat" UK tapes. Are they worth the price? Do they sound *that* much better and do they justify the extra money? Also I would lile opinions on which one are essentials and which ones it

QuoteBjorn Personally - I wouldn´t touch the American versions. Fake-albums. And Dirty Work? On my top ten list! That´s me. The American albums are not "Fake". They were assambled and overseen by Andrew Oldham and the band. They are every bit as real as the British versions. This is not The Beatles and their Capitol albums. Not even close.

The problem with the later albums is not that they aren't any good. They mostly are. But they are way too long. They have great material but also b-side-worthy stuff, which should have been elbowed. As a result, they are neither fish or fowl and becomes mediocre efforts. Strong and sharp editing, could have made these albums into 40 minutes of great music. Instead we got 60+ minutes of great

That depends. If you want to have a pristine new and full analog cut, it doesn't get any better than the 2014 mono. Word is that it is even better sounding than an original UK 1967 first press. I have one (have the whole mono vinyl box), at it is really an organic and well-balanced experience. It is cut from the original tapes but you can't hear that the tapes are 50 years old. In fact,
