QuoteDandelionPowderman A lovely album, filled with great songs – but with a couple of trippy adventures that don't really lead anyhere. That's a more accurate description, imo. Great songs: Sing This All Together Citadel In Another Land 2000 Man She's A Rainbow The Lantern 2000 Light Years From Home Gomper A bit over the top-songs: Sing This All Together (See

Quoteash 1963 is ok though he does say that at the Saturday Club session Brian, Charlie and Bill back Bo Diddley on 5 tracks and then lists only 4. The 4 listed are accurate and there were only 4. I'd really like to know if Brian was on those. I'm sure I read somewhere that he didn't turn up to the session but it was the same day as the Stones one and it's hard to imagine h

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon QuoteVideoJames Also missing from the list is "Cracking Up". I have a master tape of tracks from their Radio Lux 1st stereo broadcast which I will offer them if they do a Vol 2, all the tracks are live including a great version of "Reelin' And Rocking. When is Vol 1 being released? The stuff Zentgraf lists under 640318B? Would be a sensation. Indeed!!

Hmm... I wonder from where Hoffman got the info that Hillside Blues had the working title Red House... Red House exists in the Abkco files (on paper), and was supposedly recorded in October/November 1970 sessions.

New Musical Express reviewing Aftermath, April 8, 1966: "UNDER MY THUMB, another very commercial track which has Brian Jones on marimbas and Keith Richard dubbing over an extra bass with fuzz box. An hypnotic tempo sustains throughout." No other mentions of Keith on bass on the rest of the tracks, nor in their review of Between The Buttons, January 14, 1967.

QuoteDandelionPowderman TSMR sounds awesome in mono, imo. Is this the real mono mix, or a fold-down? I would have thought Keith's guitar would disappear a little on Citadel, if it's a fold-down, but it sounds great. True mono. 3 times bells on the intro to The Lantern, compared to 2 times on the fold-down (and stereo).

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 But there is another version. With two guitars. We had a discussion about this years ago. About who would be playing the harp; if it was Jagger. Yes, on the BBC version Mick (most likely) is playing harmonica, with Brian and Keith on guitars. Not nearly as great harmonica as on the studio recording...

Quotebillwebster I#ve got a question about Taylor's studio work for other artists: Mick Taylor played on the album "John McVie's Gotta Band with Lola Thomas" by the somewhat clumsily named group of the Fleetwood Mac bassist which featured the lead vocals of singer Lola Thomas. Does anyone of you know how large a role did he have in the recordings and to which of the song

QuoteTeddyB1018 To offer an alternate point of view (or hearing), Mick's voice being lower in the mix makes it sound more like the classic Stones to me. His voice has been over mixed for years. That's not a dis of Mick.
