Nowadays the play MR with "Come on in my Kitchen" by Robert Johnson in the middle (a little part of it). Why not complete? Led Zeppelin e.g. played a complete medley of songs during "Whole Lotta Love".

QuoteStonedRambler Quoterogerriffin QuoteStonedRambler Usually I start to complain about the mix here but I started to accept that we probably won't get a good sounding mix on these releases anymore... So I'll save that energy from now on The question is, why they contract to Bob Clearmountain to El Mocambo and not for all these re-releases... Money. With El Mocambo they probably thou

QuoteBlueTurns2Grey QuoteRobertJohnson His Satanic Sound Butcher Majesty - Sam Wheat! Sound butcher, I like the term. Just have concerns about the butchers' guild. They certainly feel rightly offended when you associate them with this depressing sound result. Yes, you are right. The sound is an insult to all butchers!

It's my fav song from the early albums. Unfortunately, it is rarely played. I can only remember the 81 tour.

Yes, a little problem. In 89 it sounded great. Ronnie's solos had a great impact. Nowadays he butchers the solos every time (also on TD). Why?

This performance is one of their greatest without any doubt. And it works astonishingly in the absence of the so called warhorses, but maybe because of the absence. The band once again confirms that they are at their best when they focus on the blues. Many then new songs gain in quality when played live. "Melody" is a highlight as well as "Fool To Cry", a song I didn't li

On the complete recording my impression is that Mick's voice seems to be underlaid with less reverb. It sounds more like El Mocambo from 1977 on Love You Live. A fantastic performance. Astonishing that these recordings were held back for so long. This would have been a number 1 album in 1977.

QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteRobertJohnson Billy's and Olli's contributions are really essential, particularly on Hot Stuff. Love their work with the Stones. Love it. They were the frenzy of -75. Billy Preston is truly a genius. You can see quite clearly in the film Let It Be how he gets the Beatles out of the impasse so that they pull themselves together once again. And he did that with

QuoteSighunt QuoteRobertJohnson I agree completely. Many thanks for your efforts and your time. I would still emphasize as an argument for a complete release of all three concerts that the band never played the songs in the same way back then, so fundamental differences can be noticed even by a broader audience and not only by the fans. Interesting thoughts, I tried, without going overkill, to

It is evident for me that no overdubbing on Ya Ya's was necessary. They edited some great moments of Mick Taylor and Keith, unfortunately. Well, no not really, they didn't touch the guitars at all except for some minor rhythm guitar of Taylor during Carol.

I support this idea. Especially the three concerts in New York in a boxset would be a document of music history. And according to some YouTube videos and some bootlegs other versions are even greater than the versions in New York. The guitar sound on this tour is unique. Sed cave (but beware)! No Sam Wheat bullshit, I'm willing to pay double if Sam Wheat doesn't mix the sound.

The 75 tour was the last tour they played SFTD without any samples and without plink plonk Chuck, rough and dirty. This is the real interpretation of this song. I like 75 and 76 in the same way, Ronnie was on his peak in soloing. Ollie Brown and Billie Preston made essential contributions. Without them no medley If You can't Rock Me / Get Off of My Cloud, a gem in the catalogue.

What stands out is the outstanding sound quality. I have never heard the Beatles so powerful. Why is that not also possible with recordings of the Stones? Instead, we've been getting the Sam Wheat crap for years. Most recently he screwed up Wembley 82. Miami 94 is an outrage. And Atlantic City is anything but good!
