QuoteDoxa QuoteRisingStone Apart from the HD songs, all familiar selections. Too early to whine about the setlist, I know, but it doesn’t look that promising. Predictably so, in a way. Sorry to be a buzz killer. What this list lacks is a deep cut or obscure song from the past, another Out Of Time. I almost mistook WILD HORSES as WARHORSES lol. ' Maybe that's the cost of playing ne

QuoteLeonidP And I'd remove Connection, Keith is just background on that one. I know he did it live w/ Winos, but I don't think he ever did it w/ the Stones live. Saw it live two times in 2022...

Her version of Ruby Tuesday is one of the greatest cover versions ever. But there are many more merits of course. Sad news. Melanie, ‘Brand New Key’ Folk Singer Who Played Woodstock, Dead at 76 (RollingStone.com)

I've been to quite a few ZooTV shows back in 1992/93 and never before or after I have been to a concert where the setlist was as perfectly structured and paced as on those ZooTV and Zooropa shows in 1992/93, with Dublin 28/08/93 being the absolute perfect concert. The sensory overload of it all added to the experience and did not take away from the music, it all felt like a huge piece of a

I still have the printed guides on Jazz and Rock. They are great, you can spend hours and days with them an discover and rediscover artists and music. If any of you from central Europe is interested, I will sell them for €10 each, plus pp.

Anyway, there is not one song on Hackney Diamonds that I wouldn't want to hear live and wouldn't welcome in the set. Some songs might worke better than others, but the band will know/find out which ones do work live. A lot of the songs could work in a stadium. Angry would be a fine opener, imho.

There are some songs with sparse visuals in the set, if you want to get a good impression of what the Sphere is capable of search for Zoo Station Even better than the Real Thing or With or Without You e. g.

I always thought that "Worried about you" was very personal. Mick Jagger surely has a "stage persona" when he performs, but when I saw the band play "Worried about you" live in Düsseldorf in 2014, I felt that the words and his singing came from deep in the heart.

Bitusa is not a very comfortable song to sing, so maybe he cut it to comfort his vocal chords - or Max Weinbergs wrists.

RW could have made a living as a street artist in some tourist hotspot in southern Europe. No, seriously, I love the guy. But I hope no one ever gives me one of his paintings/prints as a present, except gor the setlists.

Is it my ears - or is Bobby Keys a tad out of tune on Brown Sugar (and Mick a tad out of key on a few songs)? Anyway, quite an enjoyable show to watch. Very strong guests...

I'm not at all starstruck, so I'm not actively trying to meet anyone I admire. I once helped (pushed) Dizzy Gillespie getting on stage, as he couldn't get up the really steep stairs and seemed to fall backwards. He played great that night.

59 is the year Charlie Watts visited the 100 club for the first time. That's an easy one.

All the before mentioned were great and outatabding players. Does it really matter who is the GOAT? I honestly can't really compare, as I have seen Messi play more often than the others like Pele or Cruyff. All I can say is that Messi is the best play I have ever seen and his performance during this years WC was masterful, not only on the pitch, but as well leading the team.

Younger folks probably don't have a DVD/BR Player anymore. No one under 20 that I know has a CD player or a physical drive in their Computer anymore. So streaming is the way to go to reach these audiences.

Quotecrholmstrom For big stadium shows some of that has to do with the band escaping before the mob lets out. Have seen it happen a few times. In fact, the Stones were kind of doing it with the fireworks in the not too distant past. U2 comes to mind also as using that tactic. I have been to more than 30 shows by U2 and never there have been any fireworks...

Yes, and in this doc a few years back (was it a film or a book, can't remember) JW did not come across as a someone you'd want as your enemy - or friend. Maybe he feels the need to set the record straight. Might be an interesting read, probably with some storys that might be a bit unsettling for some (I was shocked about the amount of drugs seemingly taken by so many, I remember the M

OT, but I love this site as it is. No flashing/ distracting advertising, it's very stable, reliable and fast. No tracking (that I know of). Even when at a concert with slow internet connection it will load most of the times, even posting is possible. It's great as it is and BV's decision not to change it also is. Sorry for getting off topic.

QuoteNikkei It's funny how official photographers only work on the first few songs when they could get so many fantastic shots later on. They often have to leave after the first few songs.
