In the absence of the "new" album, this fantasy topic helps to fill the massive void. There's so many variables, and to make it even more convoluted, perhaps we could include some of Keith and Mick's solo material. Lots of great tunes to choose from Keith's Crosseyed Heart, and then there's some of Micks random solo tunes in recent years...Gotta Getta Grip for exam

QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteHairball QuoteVoodooLounge13 At their ages, they have no wiggle room to procrastinate!! Willie Nelson just turned 90 (!!!), and he still performs live, records, and releases new albums! Not saying the Stones will be doing the same when they're 90, but hope so. They might even have this "new" album finished and released by then!!! Yes, BUT, he just s

Quotewupperstein Perhaps the new album sounds like this... Yes, and there are several other teasers that sounded promising... Hope they make the final cut some day... whenever that might be. And hopefully Andrew Watt hasn't over-produced/sterlized/ruined them

There's the possibility that the Munich pacage cost more, but again the Stockholm package was apprx. $1500 give or take... maybe $1600 or $1700... but no more than that. Also, they had a more expensive solo price or a less expensive if bought in a pair. Maybe you bought the solo package?

Great memories Christiaan. I also did the Fan Asylum package for Stockholm which included all three shows (theater/arena/stadium), early access, transpo to and from, special merch, and seven nights in a fancy hotel...all for apprx. $1500. And to think the Stones charge that much (or even more) for a single VIP ticket in a massive stadium show these days! From there went to all the Netherl

Brian May is a phenomenal guitar player, and it was moving to hear him describe how James Burton influenced him, but he sort of stuck out like a sore thumb in those video clips.

QuoteSpud Lets be positive ... Maybe they're arguing about which ten of the hundred great tracks they've cut will be the first of the ten planned album releases . A hundred great tracks? In reality, it should probably read "ten of the hundred great mini-snippets"...but even that might be pushing it. As of now, so far we've seen and heard a very small handful of

Looking forward to seeing some videos, especially Albert Lee, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Robert Plant, and Van Morrison. And will there be any surprise guests? The show is about to begin...have a great time to all who are there.

QuoteBjorn Follow up? Might be time for a separate thread: Long awaited follow up to the long awaited "new" album that hasn't even been finished yet. These never ending threads providing years of discussion without any new Stones material whatsoever to actually discuss...just all BS and speculation.

It's the journey, not the destination.... This thread has certainly been something else...there've been good times, there've been bad times...it's had it's share of hard times too.... Several members have fallen by the wayside, while others are in it for the long haul...for the good, the bad, and the ugly...warts and all...keeping the hope alive... That being sa

QuoteGerardHennessy Kinda says it all about how expectations have flatlined! Now we all get excited by a few seconds of noodling/riffing/messing about by either Mick or Keith. Yes, but after the band has talked so much about it, and after so much time has passed since ABB (18 years and counting), anything is better than nothing. Maybe this is the future of the band ...releasing mini-snippe
