One Hit is a good song. Harlem Shuffle is great. The rest is from average to poor. There's some potential, but the band didn't seem to be bothered at the time. Sleep Tonight could be a great tune, if they had bothered to record some proper drum parts. Had It With You could have been a good song if they had bothered to record som bass parts etc...

James Kottak - the drummer has a great record from Montrose through Kingdom Come (his drumming on the self titled album and In Your Face is great), MSG and many years in Scorpions. He is obviously not up to his game here, for whatever reason that might be.

From the YT clips from this years tour so far, I must say that the band sounds great, and Steve Jordan seems to fit well. He seems to have paid great attention to the original recordings which Charlie hardly ever did. A remarkable example is how they now do 19th Nervous Breakdown with a shuffle swing true to the studio recording, as opposed to a regular straight beat they did with Charlie in late

I like the album. The rework of 1974s It’s a Wonder, which is here called She’s Wonderful, is very good. I Got Time is also a great jazzy ballad. Stuff is much better on the first Rhythm Kings release. November is worth listening to.
