Am I really the person who read the title and thought there would be a Star Trek connection?

Quotehopkins I adore Mott The Hoople and Mott. Hunter's solo work too. I'm a stone gone fan, very much influenced and inspired by them on a lot of levels. I'm just Stone gone crazy in love with this band since a teenager. His most recent albums have been excellent and his live shows too.

QuoteBjorn A lot of my heroes are gone - but Ian Hunter is still here. My vote: Defiance part 1. So many great songs. Where do I start? Great melodies, moving lyrics. "I´m gonna make a man out of you"...Amazing. He´s 84 and still cares. From A to Z. I second that

“champagne socialist lefties. They hate every fabric of our great nation.”. Brilliant satire but you should have used “woke” as a pejorative and then would have passed for a Mail reader

Quotebakersfield I hate Let's Work (patronising message and hideous production) but I love Winning Ugly. Good tune, good lyric, great guitar work, what's not to like? Let's Work? Isn't that on a Jagger solo album?

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTestify In my opinion, things must be contextualized, like some terms used in the past and today not very pleasant. I don't think Clapton is racist, or rather we are all racists, the difference is the culture of the people and I find it hard to believe that Clapton's always musically blues culture makes him a racist. He may have taken a tough stance on immi

As much as I like the Stones reggae songs I think that they always do good songs but not always good reggae. Cherry Oh Baby is definitely what we used to call cod reggae.

Quotedeardoctor QuoteMunichhilton Did they mess with the order of the concert? The complete bootleg is much different... I mentioned it above. This Re-release is incomplete again. So better keep your boot. Strange: No one seems to care. I'd have bought the new CD for the extra tracks

QuoteLeonidP Quotedmay Just passed. His big hit I Can See Clearly Now got me interested in Jamaican music which led me to Bob Marley and others. Here's his Stir It Up. I Can See Clearly now is great! Stir It Up, not so much, can't compare to the original. Still it's very cool that he did it, I never knew that before. The 1967 original is good but the version on Cat

QuoteElmo Lewis The Hampton release has made it kinda unnecessary ..... We sure enjoyed reliving the concert in the summer of 82 though. Faves are UMT, 20 Flight, and TIOMS. I'd still like a good release of LSTNT on blu ray

I thought it was telling in Roger's autobiography how little there was about recording albums because it seemed that apart from getting Pete to change a few lyrics he had little creative input. In fact wasn't the latest album effectively recorded without him with Rog coming in at the end to add vocals?
