It sounds like it will be something from the 90’s, which I’m looking forward to hearing. It’s not a decade I go back to much in my listening, but all the album reissues we’ve had over the years have given me a greater appreciation for the original albums, so I look forward to enjoying this era more. On another note, I noticed that the Tattoo You reissue was largely absent of songs from the Bla

QuoteRip This personally...I think that fans that don't like this new record just don't like the STones anymore...and like what they were...which is fine,....be honest about that and move on already....its called BEATING A DEAD HORSE..... Thank you for posting this Rip This. I’m more of a lurker than a poster, and it gets frustrating when various threads get hijacked by negativity.

This is a why I love the Stones. I hear a live version of a song that I think is just okay and all of a sudden the song clicks with me. I can only imagine what a better sound quality version of this performance sounds like.

I don’t about you all, but the song sounds like a solo Lennon tune with the other Beatles just adding their parts. I wish they’d go back to creating songs they used to do it.

Blink-182 has been around since the late 90’s and had a couple big hits when I was around 18-19 years old…I’m 42 now, so it’s a lot more than teens and twenty something’s that are driving their sales. While I was never a fan of their music and much prefer the Stones, I’m probably an exception to the rule. There are a lot more people my age who are likely to have more of a connection to Blink-

QuoteProfessorWolf just wanted to relay something i experienced today i went to walmart with hopes i could find the album on vinyl or cd (i found neither) but as i was going thru the cereal aisle i could hear something familiar from the aisle over so after getting my cinnamon toast crunch and heading to the next aisle for some canned sauerkraut i'm confronted with the sight of two ki

I love Steve Jordan, but goddamn do I miss Charlie’s swing when I hear Mess It Up. I was so used to Really Want to Tell the Truth that it was a little weird to hear Mess It Up at first, but I like it a lot. I would be okay if Mick wanted to replace Miss You with it. Get Close, Dreamy Skies and Rolling Stone Blues are probably my favorites, but everything on the album is great. Not a skippable

Don’t know if anyone here listened to Howard Stern’s interview with Keith, but they played brief snippets of Rollin Stone and Live by the Sword. Wow, their rendition or Rollin Stone gave me the chills. Really looking forward to hearing the full song.

After reading all the reviews it seems like after one critic submits their review, the rest copy that review, or someone writes a template that they all pull from, because they all start to read the same. Pretty much all the reviews quote the same lyrics to the songs they’re reviewing, compare Angry to Start Me Up, talk about McCartney’s bass solo, “play it Paul”. At least one reviewer wa

Quotenonfilter This song is really blowing me away! Soul! I’m not interested in any critiques of how high Mick’s voice is in the mix, how some other female could’ve done it better than Gaga, how Steve Jordan didn’t drum it as good as Charlie would have…this is The Rolling Stones right now and they sound as powerful and spine chilling as they’ve ever sounded! I don’t hear guitars buried in the mix

Blue and Lonesome had Just Your Fool, Hate To See You Go, and Ride ‘Em On Down released before the album came out, so don’t be surprised if a third single is released a week before the album comes out.

So what’s the over/under on the song with Bill being credited as “The Rolling Stones featuring Bill Wyman?” You know it’s coming, so let’s start getting upset about it now and hopefully get it out of our systems by the time the album comes out.

Doxa, I think we all know what’s coming next…someone is going to reply, “but Macca, Dylan, and Neil Young continue to release albums”, and then someone is going to counter that those are all solo acts, and then we go on and on in this endless circle of a thread.

QuoteDoxa QuoteCamRS I wouldn’t be surprised if the Stones were filming a documentary on the making of this album and the guests who were stopping by the studio were only there to watch a session/talk about what the Stones mean to them. If the Beatles can have a 3-part, 2 hour each episode documentary on what ended up being their last album (release wise), then why can’t The Rolling Stones?

QuoteKRiffhard I want a song called "Brown Sugar" I recommend picking up the Tattoo You Super Deluxe edition or the Copacabana Beach release from earlier this year then. Both include Brown Sugar, just like I’m sure it will be included in future deluxe/from the vault releases that include live shows.

I’d like to see the Stones do something similar to what Tom Waits did with his outtakes and release an Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards-style album. They could break the album up in sections by 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s outtakes, finish them up and release them in one big album. I guess it would basically be a true “Tattoo Two”, but expanded over their entire post-60’s catalog inst

The snippets don’t do the full length songs justice. I thought they did a great job with the bonus tracks. Some will say that they don’t mesh with the original album, but I don’t think they’re supposed to. They’re a 2021 version of Tattoo You. Just like Chris Kimsey made the songs all sound from the same era in the original album, the band has made all of the bonus songs sound like they were f

Has anyone heard the “lossless” version of tattoo you on Apple Music? It’s the first time I can actually hear the acoustic guitars on the released song. I’m sure with the remastering and “Dolby Atmos” for the forthcoming reissue, it’ll be even more audible.

I was hoping that with Steve Jordan in the mix, Keith would add Too Rude into his set since they have played it live together. But with the live version clocking in over seven minutes, I’m sure it would have been too long of a break for Mick.

This was my sixth Stones show since 2013 and my first PIT experience. The excitement of seeing the band up so close helped me deal with Charlie not being there. The band sounded great, and stand out songs for me were SFM, 19th Nervous Breakdown, but really every song was great. I’m not an audiophile, so I don’t really pay attention to the subtle differences between Charlie and Steve. Sure,

It’s always jarring to hear a finished version of an outtake. I don’t mean that in a negative way, I mean that you get so used to hearing one version of an outtake, that the finished version takes a couple listens for me to get used to. I love what they did with this song. They really punched it up and made it more exciting than the original outtake. It makes me want to clap along to it, lol.
