Still having trouble accepting this. We all know he was 80 and someday this was going to happen, but Charlie and The Rolling Stones have meant so much to me, my friends and my family. I have met so many wonderful people all around the world at Stones shows -- the days surrounding the shows were always such a celebration of life, art, music and The Rolling Stones. Sincere condolences to Charli

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteGS1978 Looks like someone just took the official St Louis 1997 version and cut in some other tour footage. Flip the Switch - Live St Louis 1997 I never really appreciated this song, but this version is great. Keith really shines. This version, the studio version? There are quite a few live versions where he shines more, imo. No this is a live version fro

RIP Hammerin' Hank. One of the best ever. Baseball -- like rock n' roll -- has lost many of the all-time greats recently. Sad, but inevitable.

QuoteSighunt QuoteBig Al Thanks, Mathijs. Yes, once can imagine how loud it must've been on stage during that tour. Keith's volume was particularly high, seemingly. I also concur with a point you made in a previous posting of yours: 1989-90 really was Keith's peak in a live-setting. Speaking of loudness, as much as I loved the 89 Steel Wheels tour for the Stones musicalit

QuoteJustin Quotebv Darryl did the final bow with Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie at the last show in Rotterdam during the 1995 tour. I printed that photo in IORR 25. It was a very sentimental final bow. The tour was over, and Darryl was now one of the five, for one final bow. Never knew he joined them once. That's a very generous gesture. If you could post that picture would be great to

Musically, it really captures the early seventies sound and vibe, and Mick's vocals are fantastic. Really love this song. Rough, Ragged, a bit unfinished -- but, Great Groove Great Feel

Mick gets great review from the New York Times: NY Times review "There’s some grim stuff here, but very little of Willeford’s mordant humor. A small and potent quantity of this quality is delivered by the larger-than-life rock star Mick Jagger in the role of Cassidy. Jagger shows a refreshing lack of conventional vanity by allowing both Bang and Debicki to tower over him. Possibly bec
