QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteRollingFreak I'm happy I saw everyone I want to already, and I hope my kids don't want to see a lot of concerts lol. Cause I just won't be able to afford them. And moreover, if I could, its not what I'd think is reasonable to spend my money on. I genuinely can't fathom anyone spending more than $500 on a concert ticket. Honestly, more than $300. I

Many thoughts: I applaud Dee. I was also surprised that after 10 years of "retiring" they decided to come back out. Not that every other band isn't doing the same, but they seemed serious and it seemed like the moment for them to come back had passed. What legitimately changed in the last 2 months that they now had to cancel? Had they not really known he could do this earl

They were very clearly not the best but also very clearly not the worst of the legacy rock acts doing the super bowl. They just... were, and that's fine to me. I don't think anyone should be too critical. They showed up, did their stones thing, and that's it. Yeah, Rough Justice is dumb to include (and I like the song), but they had a new album so of course they'd play it. The

QuoteChrisL That doesn't sound good. You never really know with these old guys. I didn't take it cryptically, but I guess it could be. I literally just watched this clip the other day where Neil talks about sometimes he's into doing something, and sometimes he's not. He's always been that way, so its kind what I thought when I read it. Maybe he's just changed hi

QuoteStoneage What happened to Dennis Leary? I remember him from the early days of MTV. He did skits between the videos there. A cool looking, funny guy. Since then I think I have seen him in some less successful movies or tv-series. But that was a time ago. Anyway, I hope he is doing well. I think after Ice Age and Rescue Me, he was pretty much set up for awhile money wise. He'll occasi

Quoterbk Bruce has said recently that he has suffered writer's block for the last decade or so. Listening to "Streets of Minneapolis" it is clear that he is correct. The politics of the song aside, it's sophistry that sounds like it was written by a middle schooler. Its pretty common that later in the career the muse is just gone for these artists. Disappointing with Bruce b

Quotegeorgelicks After the release of the Stones' new album this year, I wouldn't be surprised at all by a new Mick solo album. He must have enough material to fill three or four albums, and if he wants, he can collaborate with any current artist who would never say no to the legend. With the Stones it's more difficult, but Mick could do duets with Morgan Wallen, Harry Styles, SZA,

QuoteIrix Peter Gabriel - Been Undone (Dark-Side Mix) - , , . This is pretty good! I've never been the biggest solo Gabriel fan (loved him with Genesis), but maybe I should check some more out, at least some of the recent stuff, if its similar. Quotetommycharles Wings is a tough story to tell because it peaked about 2/3 of the way through and then fizzled out, it'll be interesting to see how they pitch it. I'm looking forward to it, it should be a fun film. I'll be curious to see it, because I've always viewed Wings as McCartney WANTING to be in another band, but he was unquestionably the leader and it was never re

QuoteGJV Oh Nooo! She was a beautifull person, not only in her looks, but also a good and great person. She will always be remembered! R.I.P. Brigitte Bardot. Funny, because Chappell Roan and Gwyenth Paltrow’s daughter both took down posts about her because of her extreme far right views, disregard of the MeToo movement, etc.

Quotefrenki09 Ian Anderson posted a heartfelt tribute to Abrahams. It is with great sadness that we learned yesterday of the passing of Jethro Tull founding member Mick Abrahams. Mick was vitally important to the early Tull formation out of the ashes of The John Evan Band and McGregor’s Engine, the blues band he formed with Clive Bunker in the Luton/Dunstable area. We all offer our condolence

Seeing them in 2013 in Philly and getting to see Mick Taylor with them. I'm a younger fan and I truly never thought I'd get to see that happen. Midnight Rambler by that point was expected, but Can't You Hear Me Knockin' was not. Getting both was just a joy. He's the reason I play guitar so its one of my favorite concert memories of all time.

Hard not to be entertained by the Rolling Stone article above. Every scenario BUT the most obvious one which is "they are over 80 and its crazy it hasn't ended already." Obviously we all want them to stay out there, but at some point it really does all have to end. I'm not necessarily saying I want it to be now, but I also didn't really want them to continue on without Ch

I give whichever one of them credit that they don't want to die on stage. Over 80, I'll be happy to see them anytime around but I also realize at a certain point enough is enough. I know the tours aren't long, but they do deserve to just enjoy life if that's what one or both of them want to do. Its been 60 years, when I'm sure most would have guessed it would have only go

I assume that just meant he sort of got it under control, which I know is oversimplifying addiction since it never truly goes away. But it felt like Rob tried to help his son and fully realize his vision with it, which makes t

I had never seen this film and always thought the Flashpoint album was meh. This era was always a little too slick for me. Ended up having a great time though in the theater. Probably not something I'll revisit any more often but they played great, seemed so relatively young by comparison to today, and the theater was LOUD which was awesome. I had a blast. QuoteTate I too am looking forward to the '75 LA show... but I also love the dark, psychologically depressing Roger Waters era material, including The Wall and The Final Cut. TFC is raw, without the signature keyboards, but it adds to its poignancy, I think. I read somewhere that Roger's Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking album, which is also raw and dark, was offered to the band as a Pink Fl
