Watching this now. All very good performances so far. Billy Porter just did a really great job with The Bitch Is Back. Disappointed they couldn't get Low Cut Connie for this. Elton has publicly called him out and they'd have been a great addition.

QuoteBig Al It was a strange decision for Blur to perform, quite honestly. A very Generation Z roster of acts', with a young audience, who'd have hardly been aware of Blur's U.K. popularity from 30+ years' ago. I'm not in any way a Blur fan, but their song Song 2 is played constantly still these days, and covered by many people. So they still have a presence, and Damon is

Just seems so superfluous 1. to make the announcement if thats what it is, and 2.for the original to even become available after getting what we did with Peter Jackson's work. I understand having the original product out there, but it being available on the same service as this much more comprehensive one... there's just no reason to watch the original anymore. I tracked it down after t

I'm not the biggest John Mellencamp fan, but I have seen him before and honestly he is trying to put on "a show". Not a broadway sense, but he has a show he's trying to deliver. He's not asking for quiet, he's asking for respect. If you just want to hear Jack and Diane, I honestly applaud that he's man enough to say "thats not what I'm about and if tha

Quoteroryfaninva Apparently Ginger simply showed up to the first rehearsal uninvited and hijacked the drummer's chair- Clapton had assumed Jim Capaldi was going to be the drummer and was looking forward to a clean break from the whole Cream thing. He was also hoping Winwood would step up and veto Baker but Steve just shrugged and off they went with Ginger. Great drummer but the band may have

Quotestargroover I really hope they are rehearsing plenty of tracks from Hackney Diamonds.Tell me straight,Mess it up and Sweet sounds of heaven would be great. I'd be curious how much they could really work in. Just isn't enough time in the setlist and obviously not why people are coming. But I guess the obligatory Angry in the set, then maybe Whole Wide World or something else. Potent

Something that kinda comes up all the time, but I'm listening to some of the Midnight Ramblers from the 50 And Counting tour and just smiling ear to ear. Yes, Mick Taylor was not used correctly on that tour, yes he's arguably not even really given enough space in his one spot during Rambler. BUT its cool to hear that, if for just one song every single night, the Rolling Stones really fe

The Blind Faith album is and always has been an incredible record. Coming at a perfect time for everyone involved. To me, two of Clapton's best records are the Blind Faith one and Derek And The Dominoes Layla. When he just straps on that guitar and plays there's nothing like it. Obviously his solo stuff, Cream and other things are great too, but Blind Faith and Derek feel so natural. St

He was a role model for all the wrong reasons when i was young. Now for all the right ones. When you see video of Jagger in the early 60s and then video of him today at 80 its just crazy. I don't k

QuoteKeVvV2011 Great to see Bruce look healthier. The increased variation from show to show is very welcome. Judging by these first few shows, this feels like a return to for me (was not a fan of the 2023 shows). Gotta wonder why the switch now. I'd say cause last year wasn't successful or popular, and maybe it wasn't with hardcores, but every show was still sold out and on the w

The Faces were so @#$%& good. Still hate that we never really got that reunion we should have, and also just in general that the band petered out as quickly as they did. Its maybe for the best, smaller body of work thats just all good, but still feels like we should have gotten more.

Fun opening. Funny how when you do the most static setlist of your career all of last year, 3 changes feel like its the best show of the tour lol. He looks and sounds good. Would enjoy some more switch ups, but the tried and true set works as well if you just want to see Bruce. We were spoiled for awhile.

It was always Jeff's vision but they were a huge part in making that a reality.‘ You may have to wait a while and be in another place to see this line up, Kelly died in 2009. Quoteloog droog It's another Oscar-clone awards show on TV--which means it's really just bullsh*t. Pretty much. There was always an element of "why would you honor something that is supposed to be about being rebellious?" It had a good spirit and idea to it at the start, but the formal party of it was always a little off. Why wear fancy suits to something that is essence honor

QuoteDGA35 I believe they came to Vancouver around 2018ish. I didn't realize they were still around! In fairness, its Jeff thats still around, but he was essentially the band so its kinda on his timetable. There was a pretty solid band that existed in the 70s which I don't discount, but Jeff obviously wrote all the songs and it was his vision. I've seen Jeff Lynne's ELO twice

Quotebye bye johnny “I didn’t know we were going to be playing Tommy, it wasn’t on the list,” griped Pete Townshend, after a sustained 40-minute highlights rendition of his hugely ambitious and complex rock opera, which the 78-year-old guitarist had apparently negotiated with sheer muscle memory and virtuosity. “I’ve got a list here,” shot back 80-year-old frontman Roger Daltrey, squinting thr

Quoteslewan QuoteRollingFreak Ticket prices are surprisingly reasonable in LA. Worst seats are $42 after fees, next level up is $70 after fees, next is $125 after fees. Then you obviously get the ridiculous $200+ premium options, though there are some $150 and $185 seats in there as well that aren't absurd. I'm still gonna wait for a setlist before committing to that price, but $125
