Fantastic guitars from a technical viewpoint...but perhaps a bit lacking in character for the Luddites amongst us.

Well...
Keith is never more rock 'n' roll than when he's playing with the Winos.
Waddy rocks.

Not appreciating her work, I can understand. Overturning her coffin and spitting on the mourners seems a bit extreme. Perhaps I was just raised differently. I whole heartedly agree. Forum: Tell Me

I love the Sucking In The 70's live version which I believe comes from Oshawa 79?
Detroit 1978.Its crazy how fast it is live. Charlie has his foot firmly pressed down on the accelerator. God love him! Forum: Tell Me

Imho he was a one-trick pony mainly turning albums he worked into some hazy foggy sonic adventures.
It wouldn't work with a band whose production motto has always been "make it simple and dry sounding". Plus I don't think Keith would say "ok" to a producer telling him to add layers after layers of guitar overdubbing.

Diamond Dave retires at 70. Mick Jaggers response: '[email protected] amateur'.
Mick would never say that. He has never ever been demeaning toward other musicians. Don’t but your words in Micks mouth. It was a joke. Jeezus lighten up. Forum: Tell Me

i'm still playing this album EVERY day - but......
how
could
they
omit wyman
from
the
sleeve???
I'm asking myself now if it is a legal matter. They must have learned a lesson when revisiting these albums/ boots for reissues. To realize how vital Taylor, Jones and Wyman have been to their most iconic material.Bill's bass playing Forum: Tell Me
I saw them at Massey Hall a few times mid and late 70s. They did indeed rock. I'm pretty sure a little known band called AC/DC with Bon opened for them once. Loudest thing I ever heard. It could have been REO Speedwagon that Bon and the boys opened for but I can't be sure. Someone named Mary Jane was involved. Forum: Tell Me
I have a friend who hasn't taken them seriously since Brian died, and thinks they should have quit then. Think of what we have missed if that happened... Forum: Tell Me
