QuoteSoulSurvivor1990 QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotepowerage78 His playing has weakened considerably since 2007. Fortunately, the overdubs are there to mask it on all the official live release (Cuba and all the others...). Of my 4 shows (Nashville 2015, DC 2019, Nashville 2021 and Atlanta 2024), here is how I rank his performances 2024>2019=2021>2015. So for me, he has been getting better sin

Quotebv One day we will look back and realize we saw the last Stones show somewhere in the world. We don't know when. We don't know where. I don't think they are done yet. thx BV!

QuoteJumpingKentFlash I hope it is t over! I was fired from my job after 18 years, but I’ll be financially compensated. Finally I’m in a position where I could bring my wife and kids to a Stone’s show… And then it’s off. I hope they’re all well. That’s really all that counts. Sry to hear that x2 Kent. A lot of things have walked through my head today, like why I did not go over to the US last y

See you Antoine, I know you are very well informed, are you really sure they are done touring? I'm so sorry for you that you can't take your daughter to the Stade de France th

Quotespain73 Quote1963luca0 Great news from one of your operators: the tour is postponed, not deleted. Sorry for not stating which tour operator is, due to privacy. I need some like this for my Emotional Rescue now. I hope that is true. and that planning was the main issue.

Quotegotdablouse As always, heartfelt hanks for the updates BV, it is what it is... It's so easy to take these guys for granted, like our parents they've always been part of our lives and one day they...go and life has to go on. Fortunately it's just a tour at this point. It has to be a blow for them too, whatever the reasons...hard to think it's not health related, espe

Quotegeorgelicks QuoteTW2019 Some good posts in this thread. I am in my late 20s so definitely one of the youngest probably in here haha. My friends know who The Rolling Stones are, they know the logo, but the catalogue just doesn’t seem to connect. They will play Paint It Black, Beast of Burden, Sympathy, and maybe Gimme Shelter and I’m just stunned they don’t know warhorses like JJF, Brown S

Saw them the first time in 2003. Stockholm x3. Way, way higher quality and consistency than ABB. After that there have been some exceptional moments, Glastonbury being one example. Fun thing is that from my point of view Keith has actually decreased his messing upp of intros and playing the wrong note in the latest years whereas 10 years ago and in the early stages of No Filter was very clear.

QuoteGlimmerest What a coincidence that a Swedish article is posted here on my second day. Also, I think the author has a point, but I'd also argue that in many cases these guys are so rich that making money can't be the ONLY motivator. I personally tend to think that with the Stones a lot of it is addiction to the life-style as well as fear of boredom and decay in retirement. Welc

QuoteMathijs There is something very strange with this release....it doesn't do anything for me. Just totally nothing. It doesn't move me, thrill me, energize me. It doesn't bother me, like most live shows with Daryll Jones do bother me. The sound doesn't even bother me, like the sound of most recent live releases bother me. Very strange indeed. Mathijs Actually I kind

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteTooTight I think the big difference with all those other bands, they've been done and are relying on legacy. Whoever is managing those businesses has to rely on different revenue streams (Elton being the exception, as he's managed to glom on to younger acts to stay out there while hitting the older fans with a farewell tour). While not necessarily "rele

I’ve been discussing this extensively in other threads, so it’s refreshing to see this finally being acknowledged here. I’d like to contribute a few observations: I’m 36, and among my closest friends—who, not surprisingly, are also Stones fans because I got them into it—most still recognize more Queen songs than Rolling Stones tracks. Among my wider circle of acquaintances, they’ve likely hear

I have been following @#$%& for years and I do like the fact that they try to compensate that the albums/singles have not been renewed when it comes to certifications for years. I know some people in high positions within the industry, and while they all consider The Rolling Stones to be a fantastic force, they've struggled with a late-career revival. For instance, look at the impact that

I still listen to some of the songs on a regular basis, Mess it up, Angry, Depending on you etc. I know a lot of you dont like Mess it up, but I consider it a lost opportunity being basically the only song on the album that could attract younger generations. My kids dance to that one and even my wife likes it. But they kind of blow that opportunity. I thought maybe it would be released with a

Looking forward to 2025! As a comment on younger audience etc. It is of course quite obvious that other artists such as Madonna, ABBA, AC/DC, Queen, Elton John etc have better success among younger people. Just look at the streaming. Even CCR are having more monthly listeners. I think its a pity and I hope for a revival soon. Maybe through a colab, tv series, movies, games, musicals or whatever
