QuoteGreen Lady We are talking something before 1973, right? Green Lady, 37 word answer of a song they recorded before anyone in the band was 37.

Good try camper, but too short (and wrong song). 3 of your words do appear in the answer. Adding the numbers up, it's Line 1: 16 words Line 2: 16 words Line 2.5: 5 words

Actually, I'll do that now. Numbers in parentheses are how many words in the lyric each clue stands for. Clue: (Line 1): Homonym for a water source (1), appreciation aplenty (4), between the numbers when adding (1), presently not-you (2), Rodin's sculpture's activity (1), at the moment (2), sounds like more than three (1), not-they inclusive (2), "for here"'s

Quotewith sssoul Quotewinter Hmm, don't think I've run across "carnatic" before. Is it more like carney/carnival or carnivore/carnal? Carnatic, I find, is the main style of classical music in southern India. I've always said being a Rolling Stones fan is highly educational! As for your latest, winter dear, I'm going with: My mind has just jumped the trac

Good point, Oily. Hint 2: no, not an anagram hint 3: all clues have meaning, several words in the clue might simply be describing a single word in the lyric It's a little convoluted because I was having fun doing late night bonghits, haha.

Quotecamper88 Nice. The Winter themed-confetti's on its way! I thought "carnatic" would have given it away Hmm, don't think I've run across "carnatic" before. Is it more like carney/carnival or carnivore/carnal? Amazing anagram once again.

Yes, extremely painful. That loss might haunt the Steelers division-wise at the end of the season. Gimmelittledrink, thank you for volunteering; good luck with your tryout in PGH!

Woot! No, STG, mischievousness can be a good thing. Congrats back re: your "Holy crapburgers!" post. I wonder how long until that phrase makes it into the Urban Slang dictionary? IORR forum: the place where lyrics are cloaked, Taylor vs Wood scuffles ensue (even though the two are friends in real life), and new linguistic phrases like "Holy Crapburgers" enter the English

NOOO! Snoozefest. But he sure has gotten awesome singing them, hasn't he? Slipping Away, Thief in the Night, How Can I Stop, ones on your list, etc. Quite a ways from his whiny tenor to open Salt of the Earth. Good on ya, Keith, but please no ballads comp.

Yeah utr, rice is a good suggestion... Okay, I'll have a go since I'm going to be online for the few minutes it'll take for this gang to get this one. Clue: Questioning oversized mental formations; which threaten to take up permanent residence in between night after night; varied efforts to eliminate them result in failure. Which lyric am I?

I'm running out of confetti for all the celebrations. When I clean the floor in between, I may have mixed Baltimore 2006 confetti with Atlantic City final show 1989 confetti. Damnit, now I'm not going to get what I'd hoped for it on e-bay.

Quotemr_dja Quotewinter This first game against the Ravens Thursday will be with Vick only getting two days of snaps practice with the first offense. And Vick has only been with the team a few weeks. The Steelers are going to have to adapt some of their plays to Vick's style, but we may not see a lot of that until week 5. We've got Bell back, Bryant comes back week 5, Pouncey returns mi

IORR in 1975, the year our parents got a new stereo and moved their old one to the basement so me and my little brother finally had a turntable. By the time B&B came out in 1976, I had over 10 RS albums. And by the time LYL came out in 1977, I had them all up to that point (except some comps: Hot Rocks and More Hot Rocks, Made in the Shade), even Metamorphasis and Jamming with Edward. Aah

Bill Nelson (BeBop Deluxe), live version of Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape. Despite the slightly out-of-tune bottom E string, this solo has been my closet favorite for 35 years. The feeding sustain, the swoops that end each phrase, the untypical non-bluesiness, the waterfall cascades, the start and stutterstop playful phrasing. The first solo starts at 1:46, then another at the end:

Don't forget the some of the slower and cool lap steel and slide stuff from: Gilmour: Echoes, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (latter parts), One of these days, Breathe Howe: "Soon" (Gates of Delerium coda, way up past the frets) Breathe, Soon and Love in Vain were the first 3 tunes I learned on slide, probably because they were slower, haha, and I could play them in standard t

Quoteumakmehrd No Winter ???? Well, if ya need me to chime in, sure, why not? Instead of 80-90% singles/hits, the Rolling Stones ultimate compilation I'd like to see would be geared towards a long-playing experience, not a collection of stand-alone hits. For the 1963-'67 period, sure, include the singles and 3-4 lesser known cuts but then have lots of non-singles from the album er

QuoteNaturalust Chris wasn't just a fantastic bass player he was a truly amazing singer too. His harmony vocals sometimes get lost in the powerhouse that was Jon Anderson but anybody who truly studies Yes music can't underestimate his contributions as a B/G vocalist. I've always held that this was a soupy, voodoo-y, mysterious sounding album that just needed one more good uptempo rocker to put it over the top for the general public to like it as much as some of us do anyways. Putting on Save Me would have accomplished that but then the album hits 51:30, which might have been pushing the vinyl format. This also may have musically been their most ambitious
