Quotesteffiestones Can anyone give me more info and the value about this album, never seen this before! Bought mine 15 years ago for nearly 2000 Euro at a Beatles exhibition The rarest of them (Swiss ex libris editions) is maybe After Math + Out Of Time (with the Stones in front of the Hochstrahlbrunnen in Vienna) with the misprinted titles on the back (Stunid for Stupid and Snider f

QuoteStonewalled QuoteDeltics I downloaded this from this very website a couple (or so) years ago, is this the version of Star Star included on the current reissue?: 08 Star Star _US vinyl_.mp3 - 4.00MB You can listen to it without downloading.Yes it is!Actually the word "pussy" is still quite audible to my ears on both the audio clip you've presented and the 2009 UMG remaster

I think it's not that easy Erik... I've listened to IORR last night and I must say I'm still impressed. Again it's louder but the sound is clear and bright and I really enjoyed to hear it. I haven't compared it with the Virgin yet but from my memory this is probably the finest version I've heard so far. I wish I'd more spare-time to listen to the 2 others clo

Apart from the little finding of the censored "Star Star" I must admit that the sound is kinda brutal. The first 3 songs on Goats (mind you, Coming Down is a slow one!) are partially overexcited to a painful extent. Heartbreaker is the first song I didn't notice any overload. The bass seems to be a little bit clearer compared to the Virgin release but that's it for me. I think

Finally I've listened to the first CD (Goat's Head Soup) and yes, Star Star is the censored version which was only released in the US on the initial (?) release of the LP - with "I bet you keep your pu**y clean" "dubbed". I can't remember and I don't have the time to check it out yet but I think the Virgin release (and the earlier ones as well) had the unce

hi Beelyboy, what you wrote reminds me on my endless discussion with my son who's always screaming when I túrn up the volume as soon as I play "my" Stones on the car HiFi. When we're back to his music (Linkin Park and other modern bands) I have to reduce it again. He never understood that the kind of nowadays music is produced to make maximum noise. But now I'm able to co

I don't have to explain much - look at the pics and you can see what happened. This is Dancing With Mr.D. by the way, about 30 sec. each. Playing both tracks right off of my PC which is connected to my HiFi I can't hear a difference soundwise. Maybe I change my mind when I play them both on my SACD-Player. Virgin: Polydor:

Bought the box with 4 CDs for EUR 52,99 today at the Media Markt, Vienna. The price for a single disc is 17,99 each. A good reason to buy the box but as I just noticed the stickers with the tongue and the "Remaster"-texture is only available on the "single"-releases and not within the box. Haven't heard it yet but it's looking good in a way.

The 3CD-live set of Led Zeppelin (How The West Was Won) is/was available in surround and it sound damn good. The Brussels set Erik is referring to sounds a little bit weak, at least for my ears. Did you know that there's software to play around with your own stereo-CDs? Drake had a thread about it where I wrote about my own experience in creating 5.1 CDs. It's cheap (all you need

Quotestone-relics Stray, Hate to bust your bubble, but I had those acetates many years ago, and sold them (after I taped them). Just regular released versions. For your sake, I hope you are wrong....Acetates without Decca, Bell Sound, London or Apple are a big gamble... Hope you didnt pay too much... Quotemattleeuk Silkcut, it is unusual for a concert advertising poster to be sold in such a way but it has been known. What is the exact size? I have loads of posters to trade if you have any spares. Matt, it's not that easy for me to locate them but as soon as I have we can work out a deal as I don't care for merchandise anymore. I remember quie a few concerts where the advertis

Quotemattleeuk Vilhelm, It is indeed one of the most desired UJ posters! I don't actually have one :-( Only the handbill... congratulations on a great score! Really, I had (still have) so much of them that I also had one on my office-wall. Think I will work myself through the dump and put one up on Ebay. There was another one here in Vienna for the concert in Prague - rare as well?

this offer is a crime - some sellers indicate with a "RE" (often hidden in the text, but it's there) that you're not bidding on an original item but ths dachdeckermneister didn't care to indicate he's selling a counterfeit. But I wonder why people bid on a mint item like this one - usually the perfect condition is the best indicator for a counterfeit, even better

Hi franketero, personally I think so, yes. JR once wrote that the MONO Let It Bleed is so great and he's absolutely right. But when it comes to the stereo-releases the German one can't be beat. And even when you compare the CD-releases from the 80s the German ones are still the best - by far I would say and I can't believe how bad the American releases from that time were/are.

As I wrote on Dime yesterday I got this tapes about 10 years ago from a friend where I live - he passed on the tapes he received from the taper and the taper himself quoted it as an excellent audience recording. I never thought it's any "rare" and yesterday I started to realize that I had something to share for years without knowing it. Sorry folks!:-) silkcut

just to add something to this incredible thread - 2 LPs that belongs to the top rarities from the German market: absolute stunning items with incredible sound quality - to say it in a polite way they sound far superior compared with releases from (for example) the U.S. Once heard the story that most of the Mastertapes were stored in Germany back in the 60s. Might be wrong or right b

Quotestraycat58 Silkcut, which version of Poison Ivy is included in the acetate? I haven't listened to it for ages because of the way I have it stored (away from any sun- and daylight) - see here: On the top left is the Emidisc of "Heart Of Stone", on the top right "Poison Ivy". But it's the single version to which Zentgraf refers as take II but it might

Just had a quick look and hope I didn't confuse the order of release when I sorted my LPs after my last move - the last winered label with an oval DECCA-logo was the club-edition of "The Best Of Beat" - the last winered label with an rectangle around the DECCA-letters was "Between The Buttons" - "Flowers" was the first with the newly designed flat red lab

But I'll do my best anyway. And for the LPs I've to find an A3-sized scanner that works properly but one day I'll hav
