Thanks for the report, looks like Keith was on his way to NY already maybe? Did you get a chance to whip out the G12 Paul ? It's good to hear it was the best performance of his you've seen, he can only have been "pumped up" by his appearance at the O2 where he turned out to be an unexpected showman, especially on Sunday. I saw him once in 1992 at The Mean Fiddler and while

Yeah, I mean who in their right mind would say as of today that the UK shows were better than the US shows that are yet to take place? I think you should check yourself into the nearest hospital and send me your pit tickets for safe keeping...and I will proceed to look up flights for NYC immediately.

The more relevant question I think is...what would they sound like in 10 years time...yeah I know but who thought they would still be around 10 years down the road in 2002, what Mick at 69 running around ?! They'll still be younger than John Lee Hooker when I saw him in 2000, granted he was kinda out of it and sitting on a stool, but... While the whole band thing has generated a lot of

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Quotejosepi the coolest thing i ever purchased were those flashing LED tongue pins from the Licks tour. I still have mine and some of them still work (batteries replaced). Those things had craazzzyyy strong magnets... they were/are awesome! They made the arena blink look cool... and they were cheap. Lol... I still have one stuck to the lamp next to me... Yeah I

The closest we have at this point is a screen capture from the Satisfaction video, here's my attempt at it, it's not great, especially since Bill's head is turned the other way, but it's better than nothing.

Yes, long breaks, even up to several months so they can work on other projects or just rest and then click quickly when they get together again.

Great to read that, I was pretty much in that spot on Sunday night, second row, and it was quite something...although I hate to say it but having been in that same spot at Trabendo a month before it didn't feel as unreal as it did that day. Didn't they give the bracelets at the gate after 18.30 like on Sunday, or did you have a VIP package maybe? I extracted a screenshot of the pi

Show over? If not how is it going? ;-) EDIT - I see he has Hamish Stuart on Guitar and vocals in his band, that's cool, guy is a good singer and was one of Macca's best sidemen.

Think I'll need to get this as I have the first two. Bought the first one in 1990 and sent me a on a scary boot search that left me badly in the red...it was fascinating to read about all these unreleased songs that lurked under the surface and then go find them, and buy boots from shady characters...pretty exciting and costly ! I think I got the Atlantic CDs at the time as well as the Dirty

It's on : I like the song but...this is a bit "special", not rap by the way! Reminds me a bit of "Visions of Paradise". Ah yes there is some rapping? Ah no, just a voice over. Was anyone able to record it?

This isn't 1981 anymore, he did fine at Oakland 1997 in front of 80000 people. Frankly singing to 20000 or 80000 probably doesn't make a huge difference, it's mind boggling either way. Not sure what he can be thinking...I was wondering about that the other day when I turned around from the front of the pit, especially since there wasn't much audio feedback.

A Bobby Keyes role would be interesting...and unusual but then like Keith says they're the Stones so they can do whatever they want. Guys are getting old, they're mellowing out, they'll take him along for the ride if he's game for it. Taylor certainly brims with confidence to take the stage like he did on Sunday, who would have thunk!

Must say that when Taylor popped up on stage on Sunday it was pretty moving...as well as seeing Bill being teary eyed himself...

Yeah there were certainly no paid models in the front or the pit. Having said that I don't think I saw anyone on Sunday that could have been in their eighties, I'd say mid 60s for the oldest, early 20s for the younguest although there were some parents with teenagers. That's a good range, Stones appeal to all ages!

I bet Taylor's going to be pumped up like crazy tonight! Ronnie seems likely...any others would be a very good sign of things to come. Looking forward to pics and reports!

Ah that's cool, just the first row or the first few ? It was a bit like a second standing pit then...I guess that means everyone on the floor had to stand to get a good view.

Great pics, thanks for sharing ! Were you able to make it to the railing after the monkey drummers were gone ? Quotesteel driving hammer Anyone know if Keith smoked onstage or not? Ronnie too maybe? They both did between songs yes, no more cigarette stuck between the strings fortunately...
