Agree with you re As My Wife Says - underrated track 'cos it never appeared on a studio LP. Great dead-pan lyric. John Perry later added an additional riff to the live version which makes it even better

I only met Beck once, when I was working at an aftershow in Ronnie Wood’s backgarden - it was after the last London Voodoo Lounge gig. I was helping to run the bar and had the pleasure of serving several well-known guests. Beck was polite and had excellent manners (in contrast to assorted Stones offspring who were rude and ghastly)

Mea culpa When we made Let The Airwaves Flow 2: Melbourne, Paris & London 66-67 we mistakenly thought our recording of She Smiled Sweetly was from the Eamonn Andrews show. We were wrong, it was from New York Roseland Ballroom 30th September 2002; Still a good version but rather more recent than we claimed! We never did find the Eamonn Andrews version...
