Btw. A nice little memory from that tour. Normally the Stones don't want their songs to be played before they come on stage. Only time that did happen was in Den Hague. Shortly before show time Crazy Mama from the "new album" was blaring through the amplifier.

Quotedcba QuoteMadMax they didn't come on until around 2am as Keith had difficulties either by scoring or he wasn't ready until then. Maybe he had tooth problem? There's a "famous" 76 picture of Keef onstage covering his mouth/jaw with a scarf and I think it was taken during a German gig. You can look at it on the artwork of VGP-098. Yeah, but that was not the

QuoteMadMax QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteTooTough Just found this one: Kiel 1976: With 2 original radio reports (in German). The comments are underwhelmed, to say the least... Very interesting TooTough. To see some info from, what is surely one of the least covered stops of the Euro tour 76. The two reviews differ greatly - first one telling of a lackluster set with bad acoustics

Quoteeismann This is from Frankfurt '73, it mirrors my impression, especially those blue spotlights from behind the stage. Taylor just playing, not acting. Someone on congas. Probably from Billy Pr.band

That's how I know they recorded them. Edit: Erhard51 That sounds great. As far as I know there's only one audience recording from Essen 1970. Is there any chance they recorded that with the Stones M

I must say I don't really unterstand all that bad blood. I collected lots of Stones books. Most interesting inside stories you'll find in this kind of book. I'd like to read it. Good luck.

With the Stones it's never disco or whatever. It's always Stones-Disco, Stones-Reggae, Stones- Country or Stones-Punk. And Charlie was very right about hearing these songs in a club. When Emotional Rescue came out I didn't really like it. Some weeks later I entered a club in Holland, a black people's place. Suddenly E.Rescue was loudly blaring through their syste

Quoteretired_dog Quotedcba QuoteCousinC I really wonder what happened to them. I'd bet my left gonad they're safely stored in the Vault (and probably already transfered to digital) but Mick's keen on giving us as little old material as he can. Hence the re-appearance of Brussels... (which is kinda logical as no other 73 gig can compare to this one so all in all this reissue

QuoteDandelionPowderman I didn't know that some users shot it in the muscles, and was surprised when Keith wrote that he did. That's why I remembered it, I guess. Too expensive for normal users and you need very clean stuff. In later years he was shooting into his legst mostly. These days most users smoke it.

I remember another German Stones quiz show from the 90's. The guy failed at the end. Think he did a German Stones magazine as well. The great times of Stones fan mags and bootleg CDS.

QuoteTheflyingDutchman This entire footage was on VHS in the early 9-tees already.Still fun to watch. It was originally from German "Beatclub" in the early 70's. Was shown in the UK as well. I always wondered if they had some more stuff in the can.

Well, I always thought Charlie wasn't at those LA sessions. But I'm not shure anymore. Anyway from Dr.John it sounds different. As a drummer myself I'd like to know more about it. Please - somebody ask Charlie now . . lol

Yeah But why was Charlie playin then? Reg. Dr. Johns Autobio there were more Musicans around like his guitar player and the REAL Amyl Nitrate who was angry about that name on the cover. Seems there was some bad blood at the end.

Seems there were sessions in LA. Dr.John: I got a call from K.Richards.We are coming to LA to cut an album.Want to play? They needed all kinds of musicians. I rounded up a crew. . The sessions, which turned into Eoms, came out all right. I dug workin with them, even so i wasn't a big fan of their music. I liked the rhythms their drummer Charlie Watts was putting down . . .
