QuoteKRiffhard QuoteCousinC Btw. Kenny would have been a better match to the Stones sound than Steve. But nobody's asking me. . lol ...thankfully! Ha, I knew that answer would come. But why? I find a new drummer/ Steve musically quite interesting. But both Daryl and Steve not the best choice for the Stones. (If this has to be done). Technically lots of musicians could do

I understand all those emotions for Charlie. He's been a part of my life since the 60's and I started the drums because of him and YaYa's. But to be honest he often didn't really convince me in later years. Some great Stones drumming was by other people like Kenny Jones and most fans wouldn't know. I'm going to a Stones show to hear the music primarly, not t

Lol There you go. Neighbours is among the few Stones songs I just can't stand. Mainly because of the mix and the drum sound. An earlier version I liked better.

Yeah, Mathijs. Of course you're right about the Nell./ LA recordings. But the Nellcote myth is just too tempting. One of those great Stones' myths. So please . .

Wild Turkey? I had their first albums. It was the band from Glenn Gornick, bass player on the first few J. Tull albums.

Like I've said before, Kenny Jones is one of very few drummers who could have replaced Charlie Watts. He'd be better in the Stones than the Who.

Yes, that was my very first album. A nice compilation following their first German tour in 65 - which was promoted by Bravo as well.

Bravo was the biggest teen mag in Germany. Every years the readers voted for 3 best bands, actors, etc. Winners got the Bravo "Otto" which were these Indian figures. It was a big thing in the 60s. Stones were second after Beatles. There are pics of Brian holding his "Otto".
