Still rockin' and still coming up with gems like Modern Times. Long may you reign Guvnor. Fave song - Visions of Johanna. Sheer poetry that had The Beatles, Stones, Hendrix - all of them just gasping.

Well cc, they're excellent live. They combine old school 70s rock guitar slinging with absolutely mind altering psychedelic techno. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the greatest afficiando of techno but it works within the context of the set. Theyt use lots of white light too which adds to the starkness of the music. All in all great dynamics. MC5 still cook. I saw them at the Astoria i

In the absence of The Stones this year, this has got to be one of the gigs of the year. MC5 play for an hour, Scream play for an hour and then they join together for a one hour rave up. Motor City is burning, London'll be burning too. Tickets going real fast.

That Saint John setlist is pretty much a dream setlist for me. Visions, Desolation Row and Memphis. And his singing's getting better too. Too good to be true. Is the concert available to download yet?

The new Raconteurs album is the best rock album I've heard for years. Much better than the first. At last Jack White has got a McCartney to his Lennon...or a Jagger to his Richards. Power rock at its very best.

Cheers Vox. If they only last 7-30 days how do sites like Dime work where there is stuff on there for unlimited periods? I'm going to try and upload a video clip. I take it it's the same procedure.

Thanks for that Amused. I still need to learn how to make torrents out of music and video recordings for sites like Dimeadozen and it doesn't give that info on gigasize. Anywhere you can learn the basics of that?

Sorry to ask a stupid question guys but can anyone here explain in an easy to understand way how to upload stuff onto the web. I've been told it's fairly complex. Is there an easy to use guide that doesn't require a Phd in IT?

It's not a bad album. Better than most of the stuff he did in the 80s and 90s. He's not trying to be overly commercially, there are no cloying songs about frogs, racial harmony or Scottish islands. He plays it a bit rough and it's more in keeping with his early career stuff. There's one standout track, the fairly psychedelic epic House Of Wax. In fact side two has a kind of si

I know that Roger Daltrey supports Arsenal which is pretty weird for a Shepherd's Bush lad. Floyd support Arsenal too. Roger Waters is a huge fan.

Nice work Tim. You didn't by any chance shoot the second, and in my opinion, best night did you? It featured what many people on this site consider to be one of the best versions of Midnight Rambler for ages.

A report in today's Daily Mirror (UK) suggests that Robert Plant has finally agreed to join Led Zeppelin for a world tour. Here's the report. Supergroup Led Zeppelin are set to reform for a world tour after their triumphant one-off reunion concert. The Whole Lotta Love legends, with more than 300 million album sales worldwide, are ready to rock 'n roll again to mark their 40t

Wow - pretty impressed. I got the Madison Square Sept 05 one which is a two camera job. A 6 or 8 cam job takes some organising. I wish they'd captured the middle night as that featured a stun ning version of Midnight Rambler. Anyway, here's a pic I took that night.

Quotestone-relicsI think the whole 81-82 tour was pretty ragged. Never liked the 81 tour. Even the New era tours are better, in my opinion. But to each their own. Enjoy... JR My sentiments too. Can't see why anyone would want to revisit this shoddy album. The songs were all played too fast on this tour and Jagger really stopped singing properly and began his clipped vocal style whi

QuoteRingoYou were there, Silver Dagger? Congratulations! What do you remember? Well, it's so long ago now and I was a mere whippersnapper of a lad. It was just down the road from where I lived in Swiss Cottage. I remember recording the gig but it turned out pretty muffled so not one of my better ones. Luckily it was captured professionally and preserved in the CD/DVD that came out recen

The Ya Yas cover is worth it for the Dylan 'Visions Of Johanna' reference alone. Jewels and binoculars hang from the head of the mule.
