QuoteBowieStone But he took the 2nd shot? What a joke. Seems like Racist Eric had a bit of a sore arm. I f***ing loathe that guy. I have never heard of EC being referred to as racist before. All his heroes are black bluesmen from the US.

QuoteGasLightStreet Saying the 2000s doesn't just imply the first decade, it's also the same as saying the 1900s. As in, Twentyhundreds - the entire century. Nobody says the One thousand, nine hundreds. That's pathetic, the "two thousands." I think most of us less intelligent board members out there might have known exactly what rebelhipi meant (maybe his/her fi

Am I the only one on this board who thinks that the three Glyn Johns remixes are a waste of disc space? Given the recent FFSO leak, there were more interesting recordings available for real fans which the expanded release was aimed at.

That You Tube clip sounds like total sensationalist BS to me. Trying to punch someone on LSD! 80mph on central London streets! Even at 3am the roads are not long enough!

Quotejbwelda they will be remembered for Altamont unfortunately. And it wasnt even their fault. Well, at least not mostly. jb The general population have no idea about Altamont in current times, let alone in 50 years time.

Quotewiredallnight I am sorry but to me these tracks sound all bad and somehow overprocessed. Come on Wired, these recordings are 50+ years old and not official releases, so you are not going to get state of the art quality. Thanks for posting Bol, I think these recordings are great.

QuoteLeonidP I used to like the Love You Live / El Mocambo "Ronnie Wood is gay" but I'm pretty sure I can't like that one anymore. I'm also guessing that will be removed from future releases, so I'll have to find another favorite. FFS! You cannot re-write history and you cannot judge 1970's humour by 21st century values. I must be a dinosaur, as I still find i

I have never seen a lot of love for YGMR on this board, particularly as it been included in the set list for a long time. My take on it is that it must be fun to play live, which is fine by me. I have no problem with this song at all and I think Voodoo Lounge is a great late era album.

Quoteloog droog QuoteCaptain Teague Quoteloog droog Rod's version of "Street Fighting Man" is inspired by the Stones. As a big fan of Rod, I cannot see this at all! Well, you see, "Street Fighting Man" is a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and originally recorded by the Rolling Stones rock group. I have just checked this on Wikipedia and you are 100

QuoteNilsHolgersson I'm thinking they should release a double album in 2021: one side has their new stuff, and one side has some of their old songs but rerecorded with guests. Like Wild Horses with Taylor Swift, Miss You with Ed Sheeran, Satisfaction with Ariana Grande, etc. It would introduce them to a whole new audience. Kids are already wearing the Stones tongue t-shirts, they would love

QuoteBraincapers Quotedeardoctor QuoteMunichhilton Did they mess with the order of the concert? The complete bootleg is much different... I mentioned it above. This Re-release is incomplete again. So better keep your boot. Strange: No one seems to care. I'd have bought the new CD for the extra tracks Me too. For me, it is not worth spending £££'s on a box set to look at the stuf

Do we really need another BtB release? St Louis is great but would really hope for something from 1976 (+1977!) or an expanded Love You Live.

QuoteHairball What some of the critics had to say about Ronnie's recent exhibit in August: "Yikes,These are frightening pastiches. Perhaps Mr Wood should stick to making music and not cross disciplines". - Paul Carter Robinson, the founder of Artlyst He seems to have taken one of the greatest and most moving works of art (Picassos Guernica), a desolate cry against war,

Quotedcba As for the perf itself... Ymmv but to me the gig starts okay not great then it slowly sinks into "meh" territory. I could name 10 gigs from 99 that are better than this one. You had to be there dc'. I doubt any of the audience were thinking at the time that the band were sinking into "meh" territory whatever that is!

QuoteChester On January 31, 1959, my parents went on a date to a show at the Duluth (Mn.) Armory, where they saw Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. Three days later, of course, they died in a plane crash (the performers, not my parents). Also in attendance at that show was Bob Zimmerman from Hibbing Mn., so inspired, legend has it, that he picked up a guitar and changed his name to

I videotaped the re-broadcast in 1990 off of Muchmusic (yes I still have those 3D glasses) and watched it so... many... times! If you knew me in highschool and came to my house, you saw the 17-song edited special. I still think they played Miss You way, WAY too fast in 89/90! Hahah It's also ruined b
