+1 Although 'only' 1 hour for me. Grrrr!!!!! Very pissed off! As usual they are popping up on stbhub etc at crazy money. As others say I bet they put a few extras on sale 2 weeks before to stuff the touts (scalpers)...

Back on topic, I liked the unusual show opener of 'Not Fade Away', used throughout the Voodoo Lounge Tour, and the way they played it.

QuoteHouseBoyKnows I was there for both shows with a contingent of Philly area friends. They really were great shows. Molly Hatchet was the opener. The sound was fantastic if you were within the first third of the floor from the stage, but anything further out was subject to the horrible cavernous stadium echo. It was a real party weekend during the Thanksgiving break. Driving back to Phil

QuoteBastion Leave us geordies alone I actually like you Geordies, most especially your humour The ones I refer to were impeccably behaved. The idiots causing trouble came from elsewhere (my home town I'm told - their accents sounded about right). Newcastle being so close to Edinburgh means that lots of you probably come North for gigs. IIRC the Stones haven't done Newcastle sin

Quotegeordiestone It looked to be kicking off big time down the front that night, was a great show though. It most certainly did geordiestone! A wild-eyed bunch of mostly lads pushed their way up front at the last minute, intimidating those around them. They were guzzling vodka and popping pills. They were like the Cast from Trainspotting. I've since heard they came from Hamilton, my home

Just fantastic. With that buildup, it gives a great impression of what it must have been like to be there. Any IORRians at this show ?

Quotebuttons67 they started with jj flash at murrayfield in 1999, was a great start to the show. It certainly was. I was there, right up front. There was no front of stage and security was rubbish with bottles and cans getting in and rolling about on the floor as the most mental Stones crowd I've ever been in (18 shows) leapt around.

And didn't the song sounded so damn great when they re-introduced it in STEEL WHEELS tour after so many many years? Almost brought a tear to this fan's eye... Like it did last summer at Hyde Park... - Doxa Doxa, I'm glad I'm not the only fan who was quite so bowled over by their Hyde Park 2 performance of Ruby Tuesday. I've seen the Stones on every tour sin

Oooh... That's absolutely toe curling I REALLY don't think that was intended for public viewing... What on Earth was he on ? I have read rumours that he was doing coke on some shows on that tour and this would appear to fuel said rumours..

QuoteCousinC I remember in the 90's two promoters going bankrupt after doing The Stones. Really CousinC ? Which Promoters were they ? I saw the band 8 times in the 90s, spread across Urban Jungle, Voodoo Lounge & Bridges Tours. These were the last tours in which stadium ticket prices were reasonable (£25 - £30) before they flew right off the scale from Licks onwards.

Mick, The greatest frontman of them all and giver of so much enjoyment to all of your fans over 5 decades. With all flaws, expensive tickets, set list moans and all we still love you. Many thanks for all those great gigs and records. Hope you're celebrating in style somewhere and look forward to seeing you back on stage sometime soon, doing what you do best. Jumpin' Jack Flas

Thanks for all your anecdotes and responses to this - my personal pick has to be Green Lady's 'Harmonica Man'. Blimey, that would drive me absolutely insane! How did he last so long ? I'm surprised no-one took it off him. Overall I thought security & general organisation of both events was absolutely abysmal. They seemed to have a policy of letting anyone misbehavin

Quotemnewman505 that sucks dude, i've had incidents like this happen around me before at GA shows and it's tough --- you have to try and put it out of your mind and enjoy the show. Oh I enjoyed the show well enough It just irked that the focus of this little incident stood 2/3 rows in front to me for the whole show as reward for his @rseh0lish bullying behaviour. I had a bag with 3 h

Quotejaggerrich I was about 4 rows from the stage in the G3 section. Queued since 9.30 like a lot of others, so yes it was very annoying seeing people barge in at the last minute from nowhere. I did see a guy in glasses with a woman who seemed to have caused some commotion during Jake Bugg's set. They were asked to go the front to speak to security. I could hear them pleading their innocenc

Quotegotdablouse Sorry to hear about that, from the T3 angle where we were camped out all day we did see a guy start making a nuisance of himself during the Jake Bugg show, telling people to stand up, we didn't. He had a bandana on his head and might well have been without a shirt. He disappeared so might have tried his luck more to the outside of the stage. We were worried pretty much al

QuoteStoneage This is a downside with playing at festivals or public parks. These things and much worse will always happen. Like battery, pickpockets, rapes, hold-ups and you name it. Worst case scenario is people being trampled to death. Which happens from time to time. All true and well put. But the Stones' wide appeal means they attract an audience evenly spread across all ages so I

Quotestill ill I was a little way behind you and had a sudden surge of maybe 10-15 people barging past me out of the blue just after Bugg finished i think. Complete chancers but not everybody is going to play by lifes little rules and regs unfortunately. Didn't see your incident though. Shouldn't imagine the guy gives a single toss, just a shame it tarnished you day somewhat. There

Quotedcba "Nasty violent incident" I thought someone had use his/her leather belt to come at the a-hole from behind and strangle him long enough to make him pass out. Too bad... >< dcba, while I do not advocate violence, in the case of this particular individual it would not have been entirely undeserved

Firstly, can I just say that I thought it was a truly fantastic show and an even better show that 6th July with my personal favourite being Ruby Tuesday, a song they have not played in my presence since my very 1st Stones show in 1990, and I've been to 18 ! Anyway, accompanied by my long time friend (who accompanied me to the 2nd show back in '95) and his 14 year old son we arrived a

QuoteWitness I picked up tickets to both Stones concerts this afternoon at the Northern entrance of Hyde Park. Very clumsily writing this on my phone. To receive tickets one must have order number, plus valid identification. Witness, Are you a UK resident ? I am. I live in Swindon, which, if you know it is 80 miles West along the M4 from London. I too, have yet to receive my ticket, despite their claim that it was shipped on Monday. Starting to get worried as I cannot leave work before 6pm on Friday. Does anyone know if this collection window for T3 Holders that's open until 9pm on Friday night applies to UK residents as well as overseas ticket

Pleased to be the person supplying a ticket for such a happy occasion and hoping for a much better band performance than most of the ones we got in 2007!
