QuoteBig Al Am I the only one who couldn't care less about Eric's varying stances? I listened to Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs for the first times in years, recently. He'll always be the very-best British blues-guitarist in my eyes. Judge him by his musicianship. For me, that's all that matters. I agree. The best. His solos in White Room, Badge, etc are stellar. QuoteDandelionPowderman Hehe, no worries, mate Of course he had a reaction. The question is whether that reaction is perfectly "normal" or not, and – in hindsight – whether a temporarily increase of his condition makes it worthwhile agitating against the vaccine (that's the politics). Eric is no fool. He knows that what he says will have impact on people who could have be

At the risk of appearing to mount a campaign for Eric Clapton... QuoteDandelionPowderman Fever pains combined with neuropathy can do that. However, I bet he knew that before he took the vaccine He says he didn't and I see no reason to doubt that. as well as it wasn't any danger involved with those temporary side effects. I wouldn't be so sure of that. There seems to

QuoteDandelionPowderman If the vaccine brought back those symptoms for a couple of weeks (which is looks like it did) - what's the fuss all about? It's an unpleasant side effect that he knows well (and could have gotten anyhow, with his condition). Eric said on a scale of 1 - 10 his neuropathy was about three and after the 2nd jab it went to about 9. He says he had intense pain for th

All of those symptoms are signs of neuropathy. I know this first hand, as I've had the same symptoms as a side effect of chemo ther

Yes, in fact he was open about it. The main point he was making is that he was led to believe the vaccine was safe for everyone but in hindsight, he never should have taken the vaccine. “Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again.” Clapton added that he suff

To me, losing use of his hands (which could have been permanent) from taking a 'vaccine' which was said (to him) to be harmless sounds like grounds. Or isn't he allowed to share his experience?

QuoteErik_Snow "I'd Make Love To You Any Time" is the highlight, but the thing is that JJ Cale's version is better, I listen a lot more to him than I do to Clapton, when it comes to studio recordings of the 70s and 80s. This track and 'Tell Me That You Love Me' - If you replaced Eric's vocals with Mick Jagger's then these tracks wouldn't be that far

Not that I am aware of but I don't really collect EC bootlegs. "Golden Ring" definitely is a deep cut and "Backless" is an under rated album IMO. He gives a nod to the late Peter Green as well with Black Magic Woman and Man Of The World.
