QuoteAquamarine QuoteHalup I think Bjornulf’s article about 50-60 vaccinated people getting Covid at the party with 120 in attendance does make one question how well vaccines are preventing infection. Nobody ever claimed Vaccines prevent infection!! Their purpose is to prevent you from becoming very sick or dying if you DO get infected! "You're not going to get COVID if you

Quotekovach QuoteRollingFreak QuotePaddy I decided to watch the anthology series again. It’s been years since I’ve seen it. Another really great thing to check out is Ron Howard's Touring Years doc. That too showed between 1962 and 1966, these guys didn't have a @#$%& day off! Yeah, I think that was called "eight days a week", was really good. If inrbsr it was George who

As far as I understand, the vaccines only target a single protein which is why the virus can easily (?) mutate around it.

QuoteJavadave You would hope he could be more of a class act. He ripped off Rita Coolidge for credit for composing the coda to Layla. She is out a bunch of money from that. Though only Gordon has been credited with this part, according to Whitlock, "Jim took that piano melody from his ex-girlfriend Rita Coolidge. I know because in the D&B days I lived in John Garfield's old ho

QuoteBig Al Perhaps it’s just me, but I’d have imagined a professional musician wold use a professional pair of studio headphones when recording. These are very much a mid-price set. I suppose Keith is the type who wouldn’t particularly care. Besides, it’s the expensive, vintage guitars that count! Keith's ears would have to be shot by now so I doubt he would care.

Well, your immune system wasn't designed to adequately cope with a number of diseases, so thankfully we have the brainpower to figure out workarounds eh? Not when the 'workaround' undermines your body's ability to fight off other disease. Adaptive immunity plays a crucia

QuoteAquamarine I followed Tyrannosaurus Rex around the country because I loved them, the spareness and intensity of the two-piece (must be why I ended up loving the White Stripes!). I even saw them when their support act was David Bowie as a mime, along with a sitarist. John Peel was often on hand. Then Hot Love hit big, they took off and I still followed T. Rex around and the shows were gr

He was actually electric before Tyrannosaurus Rex as the guitarist and songwriter for the underground group John's Children. They had a minor hit with the Bolan penned 'Desdemona'. He was one of the all time great rockers.

QuoteBoognish QuoteMKjan QuoteBoognish QuoteMKjan Lots of crappy songs in the Beatles catalog. Paul periodically trolls the Stones, he can't handle their greatness, and the Stones were/are a performing band. He has a lot of reasons to be jealous and feel threatened. Lots of crappy songs in the Stones catalog, too. Paul can't handle their greatness? He's a grown man, I'

QuoteRisingStone In the meantime — In Japan, the public screening of Lady In The Balcony: Lockdown Sessions started on October 8. It is a limited run at selected cinemas, 2 to 7 days’ period depending on the houses. As I reported upthread , the on-cinema version has more than 15-mins extra, rehearsals, behind-the-scene shots, interviews etc. that is not included in the forthcoming DVD/BD r

Yes that DVD of Clapton and Winwood is sensational. The Sunshine of Your Love is maybe a reference to Hendrix covering that song which you can find on the Live At winterland set.

QuoteRocktiludrop QuoteMartinB I don't think Eric would agree with this, given his history with JJ and his songs Eric's a gentleman, I'm not. Seriously though Eric's a modest man, he's not going to turn round and claim his own version is better. This is everything but boring. Amazing performance. The greatest white blues guitarist of all time IMO.
