Quotedcba Quoteryanpow Another giveaway is this thing he does during the verses of Nobody's Perfect that he did in the mid 80's where he "staggers" the lines, so he's singing in 3/4 time over the 4/4 beat. On One Hit to the Body he does it on the line "did me some permanent harm" and on Ruthless people when he sings "It might take the rest of your lif

Quoteyearsinthemaking The overdubs on the "Keep Your Motor Running" boot are terrible. They are so obvious and poorly done. I can't imagine those were anything other than raw early efforts that were not seriously considered for release. The overdubs on GYYYO and LYL are more polished but are still often awful (Happy and Keith adding backing for Tumbling Dice!!!) The overdubs o

Yep it has a 'theme' about it...like the Alfie songs. Seems like another song for a movie. There's no Keith on this. No Charlie. Dubious about any Ronnie on this also (although some parts sound RW-like) Still feel the vocals are 85...but happy to be wrong. Interesting...

Why is it the hit Mick is looking for? You mean the whole band !!! Whilst these are a pleasant surprise, it does raise a good point - there isnt much in the 'vault' worthy of a decent release. Still deciphering...

QuoteHairball To veer away from the speculation for a moment, an interesting read from super dupe groupie Pamela Des Barres (author of I'm With the Band). Factual? Fictional? Probably a blend of both: Pamela Des Barres: Coming of Age at Altamont Thats Keith over Sneaky Pete's left shoulder in the Altamont pic from that article. Thanks for the link.

Quotebv I paid $300 every night to be on the floor at the three MSG shows in January 1998. It is now 20 years ago so ticket prices have been at a certain level all the time. These three MSG shows cost me more than the flight Oslo-NYC and also the hotel, but having close contact on the B-stage every nightw as all worth it, especially during the special hand delivery of a pick to me by Keith at MS

QuoteTheflyingDutchman I was actually looking for the unedited SCB version with good stereo audio quality (or even footage) that later appeared on Yaya's. If that pops up we know for sure: Keith didn't change guitars during Taylor's solo on the original. This interesting SCB version seems to be missing on youtube, actually it's nowhere to be found. Yep the elusive tape from

QuoteMathijs Concerning another overdub I think there is: on Love in Vain, after the Taylor solo it seems that Richards is going out of tune. There is a second rhythm guitar in the middle of the stereo spectrum, at around 3:30 to 3:40. Its really low in volume, but it is there. Mathijs Jesus! You are a freak.

Quotekeefriffhard4life mens halfpipe was insane I always wonder if the judges seeing a crash or several in a row they end up giving a slightly higher score than if they saw several people nail it in a row Scores in the final of the half pipe are generally higher than qualifying as the good athletes add more complex tricks to their runs. Bloody insane...i agree!!!
