Looks lovely... I agree it'd be kind of sick (inappropriate) for a Stones fan to use the pool though. I feel gross even thinking about it.

QuoteBig Al Could the success of Blue & Lonesome be partly due to a sense that they’re a little more en vogue these day’s? I’ve often felt that, over the last decade, there’s been a growing nostalgia and recognition for and of the Stones. This - in my opinion - wasn’t quite there for the releases of Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang. I think that their 50th anniversary was a turning-point

Quotekeefmick I for one am quite surprised that there is a discussion of another tour at all after the highly qualified medical personnel on this board have thoroughly examined a still photo or two and maybe a second or two of video and determined that Mick is no longer fit for touring. I'm a bit surprised he hasn't listened to their advice and let us know individually that he can no lo

QuoteTeaAtThree As a recording act, I'd agree that Undercover and the video for the song Undercover were the last moments of relevance. The long layoff to the disappointing Dirty Work and then another three years for Steel Wheels meant they fell off the radar. As a concert draw, again a long layoff from '82 to '89 meant they were in "comeback" mode, which is a step re

If you look at all the other photos of people arriving/leaving the party, you can see they are all being supported by a doorman or bouncer... the stairs must have been slippery and the club didn't want a law suit is my guess

I love ASMB - I think most people probably do - but it must have a lot to do with its production as live it falls flat, a bit like Love Is Strong as above.

I remember that a huge cheer went up mid-way thru the concert - it was a quiet number like Angie - and the band looked surprised. England had just scored in the World Cup, it transpired.

QuoteProfessorWolf QuoteStoneage Jazz musicians, who truly loves music, do not play exactly the same songs on every tour. And if they do they improvise on the songs or do different arrangement on them from tour to tour. If you play Satisfaction or JJ Flash for 1100 times, in more or less the same manner, - is that really for the love of music? i think we're confusing love of music with l

I was always find docs that play fake Stones music a bit irritating TBH, which is not to say that this might be a good doc but I for one can't watch it.

As a 16 y/o when I first discovered the Stones - mostly thru a ton of repeat viewings of this concert movie - they really did seem like gods and I never ever thought I'd get to see them live in real life. Thankfully, I was 100% wrong and the evident joy they display at every show more than makes up for the fact that they are human (I think) like all of us. Keep rolling, boys...

For me in my adolescence - before discovering the Stones, there was Olivia Newton-John or Olivia Neutron-Bomb, as we used to call her. A delight. I'm genuinely sad. RIP ONJ
